Anybody know what happened to this friendly? It WAS scheduled for 16th of August but its got completely wiped off from .tv. Could it be due to the midweek international fixtures, or the fact that friendly games should not be held in between competitive games (Community Shield against Chelsea and Premiership against Sheff Utd)?

mid-week international with the prem 4 days away. How thick are the F.A , Dean Ashton is injured sadly , but this could have been or still could be any other teams vital players or even more importantly one of our players . F.A are thick
The Reds squad is: David Martin, Jan Kromkamp, Stephen Warnock, Robbie Fowler, Mark Gonzalez, Fabio Aurelio, Neil Mellor, James Smith, Jack Hobbs, Miki Roque, Paul Anderson, Lee Peltier, Danny Guthrie, Adam Hammill, Godwin Antwi, David Roberts, Salif Diao, Besian Idrizaj.
Why isn't Craig Lindfield on the squad. All he does is score goals almost everytime he plays. 7 in the F.A. youth cup, and another in this years Crewe friendly I believe.
Ill be interested to see both those goals especially Idrizaj'S. Hes one youngster I would have liked to push on into the 1st team given the reputation as Austrias best player of the year.
Liverpool continued their Premiership preparations with a 2-1 win over Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.
Although the likes of Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouch were away on international duty, manager Rafa Benitez still fielded a number of regulars.
Summer import Fabio Aurelio, Robbie Fowler, Mark Gonzalez and Jan Kromkamp all started in what proved a nice run-out for the Merseysiders.
Chilean Gonzalez opened the scoring after 19 minutes after he found the back of the net following a mazy run.
Youngster Besian Idrizaj doubled The Reds' lead before half time when he was perfectly placed to convert after Godwin Antwi's header struck the bar.
Ryan Semple pulled one back in the second half although the home side failed to muster the leveller that would have sent the majority of the supporters home happy.
Lando went along and I spoke to him briefly via Text message.
He said JAR looks like he is going to be on the bench for a while as Fabio was class. Robbie looks like he's stayed off the pies and beers this summer and loked lean and slim and was unlucky not to score.
