always makes me smile that one  :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

He was a pacey player and I remember the ball trickling towards our goal once. Phil Babb's our only hope, he's at full pelt, racing towards the ball to clear it. He slides in, clears the ball ..and his momentum took him sliding, one leg each side of the post. Oooof! The ultimate posty. I still cringe when I remember it.

Phil Babb was :censored: mate :D

I remember Abel Xavier

I would have put Abel Xavier than Degen, but Xavier did score some goals :p

But I would say Dossenna was worse than Babb

Subs

Ray Clemence
Sammi Hyppia
Emlyn Hughes
Ray Kennedy
Robbie Fowler

To paraphrase Shanks "They'd have to bring a squad from Mars to beat that team"

:D

I like this one but would have Phil Neal at RB and Terry Mac at RM with Roger Hunt instead of Rushie. I would also have Heighway, St John and Keegan on the bench

Doesn't get much better than that, Jimmy.

Anyone who lists a team without Phil Neal at right back should have his balls stood on by a shire horse.

Apart from Konchesky they're all foreign. Maybe this is why Kenny has gone mainly British

I live an hour and a half from Los Angeles, and Xavier played for the Galaxy a couple seasons ago.

I laughed my @ss off any time he touched the ball... I remember going to a game and thinking how sh!te the guy was, and then he won MOTM  :D

To this day, nobody knows why.  I think it was because he was on the front of the program  :p
