Bollox, he loved a moan about the newbies, and thats what we loved about him as well!!! :D

Id rather always celebrate someones life than mourn there death. I didnt really know phil, spoke to him a few times, liked what he had to say, my kinda guy.

he was a top guy, always be remembered on here for being someone who knew his stuff and was a genuine bloke as well. this forum will be a lesser place without him

Thanks For Your Life

They fight to live
They fight to die
To give us freedom
From land to sky.

They gave us a chance
To rule on our own
Now we live to show them
How strongly we've grown.

Thanks for your fight
Thanks for your life
We now live in Peace
Day and night.

I feel privileged to have known Phil on here.
His sense of humour was priceless, a bit like the man himself, and he was a true inspiration to everyone.

Like others have said he never complained about his lot....making jokes about it.

Totally selfless and generous.

He is a Newkit legend and a fitting tribute to the great man himself is that we NEVER FORGET HIM.

Rest in peace Phil....it was lovely to know you.....

My thoughts and condolences are with you Karen and the children at this sad time.

Do not forget you have the support of this forum which Phil loved so much.

Awful news.

I very rarely post on here and just wish I didn't have to today.

Phil, I was deeply moved by the courage you showed in your battle. My thoughts are with your nearest and dearest.

YNWA.

Oh we never know where life will take us,
We know it's just a ride on the wheel,
And we never know when death will shake us,
And we wonder how it will feel,

So goodbye my friend,
I know I'll never see you again,
But the time together through all the years,
Will take away these tears,
It's O.K. now,
Goodbye my friend.

I'd see a lot of things that made me crazy,
And I guess I held on to you,
You could've run away and left, well maybe,
But it wasn't time and we both knew,

So goodbye my friend,
I know I'll never see you again,
But the love you gave me through all the years,
Will take away my tears,
I'm O.K. now,
Goodbye my friend.

A life so fragile, a love so pure,
We can't hold on but we try,
We watch how quickly it disappears,
And we'll never know why.

But I'm O.K. now,
Goodbye my friend.

You can go now,
Goodbye my friend.

YNWA.

Rest in peace, DrummerPhil.

Newkit will miss you.

Sorry mrsDrummerphil.

I'm still quite young. I havent really grasped the concept of death yet, so I wouldnt really know the pain and the loss you probably feel right now. But what I do know, is that you have a big group of friends that all knew and loved Phil.

Though it may not be much, I offer my condolences to you.

That 4 letter word salute that many of us use on these boards can truly never gain a greater meaning than in a time like this.

You'll never walk alone Ms DrummerPhil.

You'll never walk alone.

Really sad news and although I'm not as active as many of you here at the forum but I really enjoyed Phil's remarks and comments. I was also very touched with the friendship you guys have built with him. its hard to do these days and I'm sure we will all remember Phil as a very positive person who lives a short but fulfilling life. Rest in peace.
