we need a winger like a damien duff, and we need a proven goal scorer like a trezeguet because one things for sure owens are only match winner 9 out of 10 of the time and when he's not scoring where not winning, we should have kept anelka.

Houllier should bring in J.Cole,D.Duff or Kleberson and sell Heskey then the team should be: Kirkland,Risse,Babbel,Hyypia,Henchoz,LEFT MID(see above),Murphy,Grrard,Hamman,Diouf/Baros,Owen

david trezequet would be an excellent signing and also damien duff.we should break the bank to get them and off load some of the dead wood like heskey.i would not sell milan baros cos i think he will be a superb striker but i think he needs time.in the few games he has played he has showed he has got the ability to be a success at anfield.

Yes could not agree more, how many players have we in the team and the squad that if they where transfer listed nobody would be interested in signing, at least eight, its not good enough. how many of the mancs or the gunners would not be snapped up by other teams, not many ,

Couldn't agree more. The position in the league is more realistic at the moment and Houllier must stop trusting his lucky scarf and try changing tactics which even Sunderland have sussed out. There is no flair whatsoever and selling Litmanen suggests Houllier lacks the ability to use such players in an effective manner. Also, can anybody tell me why he believes Traore is a better left back than Riise? *****.

Will people please try and be realistic. We are still a good side, just not a great one. We need to sell deadwood but that is easier said than done - Berger/Smicer/Biscan et al are players who haven't impressed and are on big contracts so who the #### is going to come in for them and why would they want to leave? We need a winger, everyone knows that including Houllier and I'm sure hes trying to get one - again easier said than done. And please please stop harping on about the pride shown by Tommy Smith etc - even in the olden days some players tried hard some didn't.
