i say that if we dont beat Chelsea  and Norwich City then we might see a big players move from the club even after what that player has said.

Rafael Benitez was delighted with today's result, is happy with Steven Gerrard's performance and is looking forward to the New Year's Day clash with Chelsea.


"We started well and controlled the game in the first half but it's difficult sometimes when you score one goal and don't score a second one - you are a little afraid,2 he admitted. "But in the end it was important to win.

"If we play well at the start of January we may need less players, I don't know.

"We are playing well in some games. It was difficult today, but if you win you can play better next time.

"Chelsea is a difficult game. They are a good team with confidence but if we play at home we can always win against anyone."

Yes I have Sky but seriously it doesn't bother me. Rafa would be a fool not to buy any players in January and he's already said that he would buy a defender,winger and a striker.

.. Lakes are u ok .. which manager is gonna spill the beans to a reporter.. Benitez is a cool customer.. always keeps his cards close to his chest.. he has assessed the strengths and weaknesses of his squad and will do business in the market accordingly.. with a budget in hand... lets see what he does..
