I think the way Rafa said it was just like his reply to  the news about morientes and how Real Madrid wants more money and clauses etc..............all he is doing is being not commital and not being held to ransome by  anyone.

If he had said " yes we need more players" then that may make potential buys even more expensive.........i think he is playing the  media scum at their own game

everyone has their opinions about a certain story AB
but reading the context of the article, i believe their has been already a set number of transfers that will be made in January as AB as said, but the article talks about the assesment of the club during the games against the big guys, how we play will determine if we need more than the aloted 3 transfers.

We dont actually know how much money rafa has, all we talk about is speculation. The number of transfers will depend on how we play, and that we might need more than 3. Rafa has given everyone an equal chance to play, and has seen everyone in their ups and downs. I believe that the first half of the season was more of a tryout, to see how the players react with eachother and what needs to be done to improve the club come the opening of the transfer window.

Thanks for the welcome  Lakes , i think canadian red army is  spot on to be honest.
We dont know how much Raffa has and until the  window opens  all any of us can do is speculate .
Personally i think he has more than he is letting on , but ! !thats only a personal view , mainly to what Rick Parrey said about having pre-signed a world class player already and the fact that we have already  made a move on Morientes . Since these two  are  already known to everyone  , then its possible  ( and i mean only possible ) that  Raffa does have more than he is letting on .
