Just rumours so far but I wouldn't be surprised if the all mighty AC Milan got to stay in Serie A. They are the mothers of all "illegal" activities. The verdict will come in a few hours.

from SSN:

Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina have been relegated to Serie B following the outcome of the Italian match-fixing scandal, but Milan will stay in the top flight.

Turin giants Juventus have also been stripped of the last two Serie A titles the team have won, been fined €80,000 (£50,000) and have also been handed a 30-point deduction for next season.

Joining the Old Lady in Serie B are Lazio, who have been docked seven points for next season, and Fiorentina, who have been hit with a 12-point penalty.

Milan have avoided demotion to the second tier of Italian football, although they have been penalised 15 points for next term.

In addition, the Rossoneri will not take part in the coming campaign's UEFA Champions League after being docked 44 points from last season's total.

The punishments mean that Italy will need to find three new entrants for Champions League participation due to the sanctions against Fiorentina, Juventus and Milan

------

so there will be 3 replacement italian teams in the champions league... not qualifying teams to take there place

So, because AC Milan only cheated a little bit then they don't get relegated?!!

Its a disgrace.

So any team who is found cheating, in any country, can just be deducted points?!!
It sets a dangerous precedent.

They shouldn't of matched fixed.

thats good, no Milan or Juve in the champions League for two seasons! at least. milan 15 point deficit next season.

That is good news for LFC!

Italion league now have to find teams to replace the others with Roma, and the teams who finished below the tp 3 looking hot favorites.

I personally think a "leeds Utd" type situation will develop at Juve, with all the players abondining the club, plus 30 point deficit will mean they dont come back up quickly either!

If their players stay I wouldnt be surprised if Milan still won the league next season, they usually get more than 15 points more than Inter don't they?

Edit: last season they got 12 more than Inter so it looks likely they still may win the league next season. So really no punnishment for Milan then other than not being allowed to compete in Europe?

If Juventus were stripped of their last two Serie A titles, does that mean that Inter Milan are considered the champions for the last two seasons?

Loving the fact that Chelsea still aren't good enough to make top seeds.

The italian league has resolved the champions league problem by allowing Roma, Chievo and Palermo to join Inter Milan in this years tournament.

So no automatic qualification this year people
