We have been linked to about 10 centre backs (Milito, Andrade, Granqvist, Agger, Meira, the Parma defender....) and not managed to sign any of them.  What is going on?  If Sami or Jamie get a season ending injury we are well and truly knackered

i must say and ive said it before somewhere else in another topic, i do think josemi done ok at CB against sofia. Although i do think hes a flop and that couldve been just a one off game....actually yeah i think it was just a one off game, but he certainly looks better at CB than he does at RB.

suppose we could use traore as cover for CB aswell if things got well out of hand with injuries seeing as hes coming back to fitness now. im just trying to think what we can do with our current squad at hand if ever one of these injury scenarios did come about.

i think personally rafa has seen the performances of Josemi at CB lately and thought he can come 2 gd use so he dosn't need 2 sign anyone which will probabl fall back on him. But i have been impressed with him latley in that position so maybe he could b our solution until hyypia retires. i personally fink defnders have turned us down because they believe they would be playing second fiddle 2 carra and sami so whitbread and josemi seemed 2 be the solutions until jan.

people always seem to foget that traore is actually a centre back who has been playing out of position at left back

at the end of the day rafa thought the winger was more important than the cb  but as you know we never got the rw either   hopefully our defence can hold on until january  the right winger situation is our our worst headache  as garcia is to shaky for me

A very valid point mate, not many people sign for a club...(whether they are euro champs or not) if they know they are not going to be first choice.
