What are you basing these views on? He played with a strike partner in every one of the four matches I've mentioned: Crouch twice, Kuyt once and Ngog once. As for lack of service, are you just presuming that or do you actually recall? FFS, do all Babel supporters have an allergy to basic fact checking?

In any event, I've come around to this idea of playing Babel up top for a few games. With Torres out, Keane struggling, Dirk plateauing and Ngog looking raw, it's not a terrible time to look at Babel and see what he's capable of in his preferred position. I'm not sure I'd try it away to Arsenal but would have no qualms against the likes of Hull and Newcastle. If he takes to it like a duck to water, I'll happily hold up my hand and say I called it wrong. If he doesn't, it at least give us a few week respite before you Babelians start insisting he's never had a proper chance in his preferred position.
