Because Simao is a very exciting player. He is close friends with Ronaldo (although that doesnt matter!) and his game is very similar.

He has more tricks in his bag than Joaquin Sanchez, he can cut in and out and doesnt necessarly have to play on the flanks, he has electric feet (somewhat like CR) and he is considerd the MOST EXCITING TALENT in Portugal.

He has hunger, he has an urge to prove himself and he is waiting to explode on the scene.

if we get simao and a good centre half that will give our squad a good boost...then again i wouldnt mind seeing joaquin arrive in the jan window :D

Today's game proved that Warnock isn't going to be the pernament solution to the left back position. In the games he's played in I haven't been entirely impressed. Does he get stuck in? Yes but him getting stuck in at the edge of our box led to a goal that he scored himself.

One bad game in Five.

The lads a quality player and will imrpove greatly with experience. He's probably got more quality than Carragher had at the same age. The lads got potential and more importantly has ability.

Infact, he wasn't even bad today, his worst game of the season by a long shot, but he wasn't awful. He gave away a stupid free kick which was clearly a lack of experience and the own goal was a cross between inexperience, lack of communication and a goalkeepers lack of basic reflexes. He still got forward well, marked Pennant (who i believe to be an excellent footballer) out of the game for long periods.

2 goals in 5 games. Again i'll say it, considering the teams we've played, thats a good record.

Stu, you're right he wasn't really awful today but I still think that we can do better in that position(Del Horno would had been a great signing for us, fantastic player)

And yes 2 goals in 5 games is far from bad when you look at who we've played against. Definetly an improvement from last season(I think we had 7 clean sheets in the league last year, where as we have 4 already)

Reina should have called that ball A.B

True but that tackle shouldn't had been made in a dangerous position. I know he's young and experienced but it's not rocket science to realize that you're giving the opposition a chance to score when you make silly fouls like that in a threatining position.

All part of learning mate!!
I think warnock is by far our most promising young talent and Benitez deserves credit for gambling on Warnock to give him the exprience he needs to better himself as a player!
The fact hes a Pool fan and the circumstances he was signed(in hospital) makes me want him to make it all the more!
Too early to judge though he's still a pup!!

The ''pup'' might cost us points by the time he becomes experienced.

His all round play is fantastic for his age A.B! Watch the highlights again later!
Ok mate the O.g gutted me but that could happen to the best!
Our games cruel sometimes!
But warnock will be a better player for it,he's learning and fast!!
Would be wasted in the reserves,i think he'll be about for a long time!
I hope im right!

Warnock aint really young and he certainly isnt inexperianced, Hes spent a year on loan at Coventry and 2 in the full team at Liverpool so it sounds like a bit of lame excuse that to me. Think Warnocks a cracking young player but dont put his mistakes down to inexperiance id just put them down to what it was, a mistake, Warnocks a good player and will come on even more this season, sh!t happens and its soon forgotten......Unless your Traore!!!

And id defo have Warnock in the team to face Chelsea on Wednesday without a doubt.

And as for best young player, dont wanna big him up to soon but i think after seeing Barragan he is gonna be a tremendous player and we will see him in the 1st team a lot sooner than we think.

More than Traore? I don't think so some how.

(Del Horno would had been a great signing for us, fantastic player)

And how much would he cost? I'm sorry, but there are far more pressing issues than replacing Warnock. Warnock is a better footballer than Carragher. He will develope alot in the same way Carragher has. He could even become better than Carragher.

Traore is a poor player. Warnock isn't. Warnock is inexperienced, he's 23 and has less than 50 first team games at Liverpool and less than 100 in his career i believe.

Unfortunately i haven't been able to get to any reserve games this season so i can't comment on Barragan.

Warnock is certainly an interesting prospect.
