Assuming that Rafa will go back to the 4-4-2 formation how will our squad look and where exactly will Garcia be playing? Anybody mind posting how it will look like?

I`m not convinced that we`re going to stick to a 4-4-2 formation. If that is the case I would agree with the ones who would play Alonso and Gerrard on central mid and Garcia and Kewell / Nunez on the wingers.
An alternative is:
              Kirkland / Dudek

Josemi    Carra     Hyypia     Riise
                 Hamann
      Gerrard             Alonso
                  Garcia
           Cissè        Baros

This would make it a bit crowded on the central mid, but make plenty of room for both Alonso and Gerrard to move in.

Against poorer teams (like Everton :) ) I my self would like to see a more attacking formation, with a five player mid (Nunez, Gerrard, Hamann, Alonso and Garcia / Kewell), two player attack (Cissè and Baros / Garcia) and three defenders (Josemi, Hyypia and Riise / Carra / Henchoz). Only problem is that this formation demands at least one class-defender, as I`m not sure that Riise, Henchoz or Carra haven`t got the skills to adapt to such a fomation.

3 at the back would not work 4 us I think he may have but Hamman in to try and mark out Jay JAy Okatcha. The 4-4-2 is fine but we need wingers putting more crosses in so cisse and baros can get goals of them
                            Kirkland
Riise            Hypia             Carragher        Josemi

Kewell/Warnock   Alonso        Gerrard          Garcia/nunez

                        Baros          Cisse

i'm also not convinced that we will be playing a 4-4-2 for the majority of this season. at valencia, benitez played one upfront with two attackers joining him from wide positions. in this case, kewell and nunez could do this ideally. garcia is earmarked as being a winger but on suday he got himself into some great positions when drifting infield. his movement was top.

stu the red's line up seems spot on to me. oh my god, i agree with stu the red! :D

definitely. his movement was absolutely outstanding off the ball. once he picks up the pace of the game over here he will be an outstanding player. forget playing him wide, he could be the answer we're looking for playing just behind the main striker. :)

These days with all the arguing on the forum and all we now seem to have found something that we all agree to :)
He will make a great impact to the team, and I think Alonso will too :)
