I'm not offended because the english speak english.

I'm offended because the way they're constructing houses there, and the constructors are Spanish. I'm offended because they're moaning to the rest of Spain that they have no water, and they want to change the course of the river Ebro to bring water, and what they do with that water is construct new golf courses. I'm offended because those things.

But I'm a left winged man, not a tory, of course there are Spaniards that do not like foreign people. But ignore them, they're twáts and a minority. The Spaniard tend to be racist with the poor foreign people, as long as you pay them money in their bars and restaurants, they'll be happy with you.

The only thing *I* expect from the english, and for that matter, everyone else is that they respect the law, meaning, no robberies, no aggressions, not on someones car, things like that. If they want to Leave Manchester or Liverpool, to enter a pub that it's like Liverpool or Manchester, that's just their option to spend their holidays. I'm OK with that, but If I was them, I'd know other things. No problem with that.

Is it me or are Germans mad? They'll spend all day in the sun, not tanning but getting burnt and then they start cursing out loud when they are burnt to a crisp and cannot move, it's priceless.

Many English are not much better. They're red as a crab when the day finishes! they do not seem to realise that's DANGEROUS!

Yeah, I agree it's no good for you, but people don't realise the dangerous, we have a problem in UK with those sunbeds, people getting themselves into debt over a fake orange tan. They look like Lobsters, it's really off putting.

I'm not mad about the tanned look either. My good aul pasty white skin is fine by me.

I thought the germans were great fun when I was there. I hated their food but their beer is great. They are also very funny - in Bavaria/Munich anyway, never saw the rest of germany.

Not suprised Nottingham is on that list.

It's a sh*thole, and driving around it is like bowel surgery.

It's also full of scumbags, gangs, drugs and guns. Well f*ck that. I avoid the place whenever I can. I absolutely HATE the City of Nottingham.
The boroughs and suburbs are f*cking rancid, aswell. The Meadows, Sneinton, Top Valley, St. Anne's, Broxtowe, Hyson Green - all drug infested, crime-ridden hell-holes. If ever you are planning on moving to Notts - DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!

Although I do live in Nottinghamshire, I'm about 15 miles away from all that sh*t, thank Heavens.

On the subject of foreign holidays, I've just got back from Fuerteventura, (for the thickies, that's one of the Spanish-owned Canary Islands. ), and it's apparantly a lot less commercialised than Lanzerote, etc. I can't confirm this, as I've never been to the others, but it certainly wasn't a Benidorm, etc.

There were obviously a few English bars, Irish bars, and the like, but tbh, there were more Spaniards there than the other races.

On the "When in Rome" subject, I think a balance is OK. We ate in Spanish places, drank in SPanish places, and took the Spanish tours.

I'm not going to fib and say I didn't watch LFC-Bourdeux in a Brit pub, or that I didn't have a few in the Irish bar.

Other than that, it was basically like being in Spanish resort.

Worst place in England...... Leigh. Deliverence was based on a canoe trip down the canal through Leigh.

i know leigh very well, i had many a night out there. my mum lives in bickershaw near leigh and my sister lives in lowton.
