Soon to be released: "JBG drinks 10 pints of Guinness and knocks over a table: The Directors Cut" (with voice over commentary featuring the words "I PITY THE FOOL!  " rather a lot).

Thats obviously the English dubbed version . The original with the voice over "I pity DA fool " is much more convincing .

Call me a purist , or just whistle , i'm only a dog .   :wwww

New to me ,review please Andy .

:)

the guy has made a couple of other classic films (i've heard) called 'underground', 'time of the gypsies' and 'black cat, white cat' but this is the first of his i've seen. people i know who've seen his earlier films say he's kind of making a charicature of himself with this one but i thought it was just fantastic.

its set in serbia during the balkans war and follows a family who live in and run and old railway station, the lad whose a promising footballer has to go and join up, the family gets broken up, theres all sorts of tests of loyalties etc etc. but the way the guy tells the story is magical, hilarious, breathtaking, the most imaginative film making i've ever seen - and i've seen a lot. there's more ideas in one minute of the film than in a whole season of hollywood blockbusters. and thats not even mentioning the music yet...

:) Too much to say for a hobby :)

During studies I've experimented a lot with different kind of stuff, but now I'm retired from bussiness and only once in a couple of weeks we meet with mates for a nice spliff, beer and to watch some film.

As for Asian pictures I reccomend:
- Ong-bak  -  amazing fight scenes  -  no computer stuff - pure stunts
- Gung ho (also know as Kung fu Hustle) - hilarious film - good effects
- Shaolin Soccer - rolling on the floor while watching :)
