The thing I fear the most is the missing Soviet suitcase nukes, possibily in the hands of terrorists.  One set off in Isreal, US or Britain, could escalate the immediate relatiation to full global nuclear war.

the  suicide bomber was created in iran when there was the persia empire, the iranians have a mantra that suicide mtyrdom is "honourable",if the americans invade that country for war it would be possibly 2000 deaths a month, the suicide missions the iranians used against iraq in the eighties were shocking, people running towards tanks and detonanting themselves.if america and possibly britain invades iran then the shia of iraq will join the shia  iranians and make iraq and iran a big quagmire, lets hope diplomacy wins the day!

I dont know to much about politics and everything else that goes with it.

Is there any hard evidence Iran will use there nuclear weapens ? Probably not.

Ok so the Iranian leader has certainly got the attention of leaders from around the world with his " wipe out view " of Israel.Whether this is an empty threat or not , and with Iran having nuclear weapons this doesnt or shouldnt give us the (British) or the yanks the right to go in and start another war.

There are just as bad circumstances involving nuclear  weapons around the world , N.Korea , China and Russia are the most obvious that spring to mind. Why dont the septics police and tell that part of the world what to do with there sh!t ?

Why does Britain along with the yanks always have to be the first through the door when it comes to dissarming  possible threatening nations .
After the last fiasco in Iraq , I say if anything needs to be done this time around send the f#cking french in or the Germans to lead this campaign.

Nobody is calling for the American's to dismantle their atomic weapons, of face the consequences.  And which country is the only one to have detonated an atomic weapon in anger?  NE1 seen the film 9/11 ?

Here, here.  Iran is the latest in a long line of smokescreens to hide the fact that the USA are the biggest threat to the planet, in terms of nuclear war AND pollution.  But it's okay because they're on our side (until it suits them not to be) and they've mostly got pale skin (unlike those middle-eastern-types!)

How on earth is this thread xenophobic!? Perhaps some of the posts may be regarded as xenophobic, but this is a very important issue that shouldn't be dismissed with the latest liberal buzz word.

While your initial post isn't particularly xenophobic, it wouldn't have taken a rocket scientist to predict it would attract more negativity about the middle eastern nations (which pose less of a threat than our 'special friends' USA).  I'm not having a go at you particularly Wrighty, but there's been loads of threads similar to this, and they usually degenerate because a lot of people who post on here aren't mature enough to know any better.  I don't think so many "Are you worried about <fill in your own non-white nation here>?" threads are a good thing.

I understand where you are coming from 2520years in terms of certain people degenerating the topic and that's why we should at least be hopeful that our politicians have a bit more nounce on the international stage
(they don't on the home front that's for sure). However, I believe it would be very dangerous in dismissing the subject as an excuse to persecute a middle-eastern country.

It doesn't matter whether they are white, black, yellow. I couldn't care. What I do care about is the well-being of our country and I think talks should be initiated straight away to prevent it from escalating into anything more serious.

I'm not xenophobic about the Muslim faith, but I do find it hard to comprehend how anyone can encourage/justify young boys becoming suicide bombers.

We have all seen the video footage of palastinian children training in terrorist (ok - one man's terrorist, is another mans freedom fighter - call it what you will!) camp.  We all (maybe!) know about Uzair Dockrat encouraging his 6 year old son to become a suicide bomber!

I'm not pro-US, pro-palestinian, pro-muslim, or anything like that. But it is not human to have the mindset where children are trained to fight a war.

Absolutely right. Even though this topic can turn into a 'racial minefield' in which people need to be careful how they say things, but there is no harm in telling the truth.

why are they called lunatics, rogue states etc? why do blair bush think they aren't free unless they are democratic (which is basically a new(in the historical sense) european concept of government).

It is a crusade and if the middle east had no oil, we wouldn't care.

The creation of Israel is also fairly new (they began settling late 19th century) and the formal state there has been a disaster for world peace. Part of Germany should have been given to the jews to form their own state after WW2.

Will Blair give up Britains Weapons of mass distruction. They just want to keep their military advantage.

The media work with the government at these times to work  up fear/hatred of those darkie muslims with their funny culture.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Don't children here play with toy guns, get toy tanks etc, play cowboys and indians. Unfortunately it is human nature for a boy to want to grow up to be a tough guy hero.
