Because we can!
FFS grow up everyone. There will be moaning. Even when win the league we'll be moaning about why it didn't go even better. If we didn't moan the site would suck.

But i accept the general sentiment nonetheless. However, like the old chestnut - 'a bit of self-moderating' would not be too amiss on quite a number of occasions. That might help prevent some of these 'casualties' from shooting themselves in the foot in the first place.

Rest assured you won't be getting 2 pages worth of abuse now. At least not until, say.....after about half 6 ish give or take the odd lie in of a Satdy/Sunday.

It's an excellent topic starter and something that's overdue being said. IMHO the attitude of some of the people who have taken it upon themselves to be the "dissenter stamper-outers" is absolutely ridiculous at times.

If I've been accused once of "hoping that Liverpool lose so I can be proven right", I've heard it a hundred times. This of all the sh!te I've had on here over the years is the one insult that fecks me off. I'm 42 years old and have been a fan of Liverpool since I was a little kid, and to have some gobsh!te telling me that I hope Liverpool lose a match just because I have the cheek to post up that I think we might play a striker in Home matches, makes my fecking boil it really does.

When we were mass rotating every week, long after it was obvious that it was hugely detrimental to our chances, many people kept on chanting the mantra. It was well beyond debate before the end that it wasn't working, as obvious as the nose on your face. Each time we picked settled teams through injuries or whatever our form picked up instantly FFS, but some people stuck to their guns blindly. The we changed it and now we're top of the league, do I accuse people of hoping we'll lose now so they can br proven right about mass rotation? Do I feck and i'll never do that. I'll never do it because it's b0ll0cks, every Liverpool fan wants Liverpool to be successful. Whether you are pro rotation, anti, pro Rafa, partially pro or whatever other fecking label anyone puts on it. Iam sick to the back teeth of that b0ll0cks I really am. What right do these c...s think they have to have the blueprint on the right way to behave, the right way to be a fan, how loyal you should be, what the definition of support is. This idea that me posting an opinion on an internet forum is going to impact on the team or indeed on anyone else, is palpably sh!t so I wish people would leave it alone.

I'll confess I don't love Rafa as much as some on here. In many ways though, I'm the hapiiest clappiest on here. This is the guy remember who has said for three seasons that we are good enough to challenge for the title. For three seasons, THE TEAM THAT RAFA BUILT IS GOOD ENOUGH TO CHALLENGE FOR THE TITLE. And yet, I'm a fecking doomer and gloomer and I hope Liverpool lose. I even hope Liverpool lose this season to be proven right, even though we are top of the league and rotating much less, so I'm already been proven right to my mind. I can't work it out I really can't.

And we draw four on the bounce against lesser teams, you come on here and voice any dissent and they're all over you. It's a pile of sh!t.

It's a decent post start. I'd call this thread "Reactions to reactions" or "so that you know where I come from".

I agree parts of max' post and I disagree parts of it. I'll add some things so that he knows where I come from too.

I disagree the bit about the moaners talking more football than the non-moaners. You could mention among the moaners the likes of S@int and Bigmick, but do you honestly believe Max that the people who moan about moaners moan about the posts of these two? No, they usually jump against those who call Rafa a clown and talk zero football.

It's true that myself have jumped on footie points of them and viceversa, but the slagging you mention, is not normally against these two.

As for the non-moaners, you could easily find people who talks right or wrong a lot of football.

And now the part I'd like you to consider after posting your opinion:

Why people react to over-moaning?

It's simple. As you admit, we all are fúcked when Liverpool loses. Do you think I like the team plays badly? Do you think I preffer a 1-0 than a 5-0? No, of course I don't.

But when you log in, you expect criticism, but not to read that the manager is a clown and half the squad are shíte. It's the kind of thing that would tell you a work-mate who's of another team. And such comments wind you up.



In a nutshell, I'm all for criticism, but I think it's possible to be critic, even harsh, without being disrespectful towards the team. Just imagine for a moment what a Manc WUM would think if he came and he reads that half our team is shíte, he'd probably log off as the job is done!!

Talk to me in a pub after or before the game an i can hold me own with the best of them. Id love to be able to go into all the introqete details of debate on here but it just doesnt seem to happen for me.

I moan in the match an all at fans who think because theve paid 35 pound for a ticket we should be 5-0 up at half time they want there moneys worth. Sad.

im not gonna start squaring up to the doom merchants, happy clappers, pro-rafas, anti-kuyts, mods, rockers, born again christians, muslims, satanists or the powderkeg that is Petar 
just a couple of points.

1. Maxi its a good opening thread and I would agree with most of it except that I dont think that its only the happy clapper brigade that start the flame wars. There are several posters on either side of that fence that are happy to start chucking the insults around when anyone disagrees with them.

2. anyone who doesnt think that the last 3 drawn results at home are below expectations is deluding themselves, its very poor and the reds have been fortunate that others around them have also been dropping points. All teams drop unexpected points over the course of a season but not many teams top of the league drop points to newly promoted sides or dare i say it relegation candidates. Chelsea have dropped more home points than Liverpool fact. Chelsea have played Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal already while LFC have only hosted Utd, and have a flawless away record.
But other side of the coin, we're top of the league without the best striker in Europe being fit, we're showing character like never before, never accepting defeat in matches we would surely have lost in years gone by, in a position that EVERY POSTER on here would have bitten your hand off for before the season began. When people come on and slag off player after player, calling for the managers head when no chairman in their right mind would dream of sacking a coach while his team led the division, criticising every performace no matter how good a result makes me ask JUST WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? you cant win every match playing Roy of the Rovers stuff, even the great sides win ugly, for every 4-0 drubbing theres a a dozen scrappy 1-0s.

Everyone on this site has Liverpool in their heart or they wouldnt be so passionate about what they are posting, no one is a better fan than someone else because they go to more games or rate Kuyts contribution over Babels pace or even believe that, for whatever reason, Benitez should walk and we should all hail Mourinho  But sometimes people get so caught up in trying to prove themselves right that all logic and perspective goes out the window and the ranting begins and opinions become more and more polarised just because posters wont back down.

When you think about it an all yep we moan cause of the draws an how were playing but at the end of the day were the ones lookin down, Can you imagine what the forums of the  Mancs an Chelsea are like when there the ones dropping points an all an therer trying to catch us or over take us.
