Well impressed. He's been much more quiet this half but he's got tremendous ability. Really think he'd make an excellent player for any team in the premiership. Be interesting to see how old he is and who he plays for.

Definate potential the lad has. The Ivory coast don't seem a bad side in all in. Infact they seem a damn good side. Drogba looks lively, Kolo Toure's a class act, Eboues a decent player aswell.

Yaya Toure plays for Olympiacos, think hel go for about 7-12 million. Juve, Arsenal and Utd all linked.

Didnt see much of it tonight but I wouldnt bet against Ivory Coast pipping Holland for 2nd spot. Look out for Kone, did he come on?

Kone and Zakoro were average. It doesn't suprise me those clubs are linked with Yaya Toure. Class act. Has serious potential.

I was very impressed with yaya toure, very athletic and passing. His pass to kone which eventually led to the goal was superb. Ivory coast played very well against an extremely talented Argentina side who could well win the world cup. I can see a few of the ivorians joining premiership clubs but toure caught my eye the most; he has a very promising future.

He's class.

Sheer class. His touch, passing, composure on the ball, ability to spot the right pass, ability to release the ball at the right time and his general alround ability was impressive.

Needs to improve on the defensive side of his game and his almost lazy appearance at times but he has a massive future.

Its not often if ever i compare players, but that lad looks every bit as good as Vieira was at that age.

Toure also has very quick feet, he rolled it past a player and put in a decent cross which nearly ended up in a goal aswell. I can see Ivory coast causing an upset to holland if they arnt careful.

Toure's bother though is passing the ball around superbly, has good feet and skill and his ability to pick a pass is very good. Huge potential. I like his movement...

apparently chelsea have bought him already. and he will join in the summer.  :(

Surprise, surprise......

I think you've got it wrong. Chelsea have bought Salomon Kalou, brother of Bonaventure (I think that's his name atleast). Who plays for the Ivory Coast. Salomon Kalou is not in the Ivory Coast squad, since he plays (played?) his football in Holland and wanted to represent Holland after being assured a place in Vas Basten's squad if he gained Dutch citizenship. He couldn't gain citizenship in time, though, and got :censored: out of going to the World Cup. Serves him right, I think.    :;):

Riqulme was quality.  lol at England midfield being the best midfield in the world.  laughable!!!   The haters wont like this and even though I aint a huge fan Drogba showed why Mourinho will not sell him. Well taken goal and again he showed why his so effective in the way chelsea play.

Yes, drogba is one of the best "target" strikers in the world today. Let me put it this way, i would rather have drogba in my team than crouch......

damn right.  He aint worth £24 million but the fact is he gives defenders all kinds of problems and scores goals.  It doesnt surprise me to see Mourinho not ready to sell him as his vital to the way chelsea play.

Drogba's unhappy at Stamford Bridge and Mourinho gave him an ultimatum. "Drogba either shows he's happy and plays or carries on being unhappy and left out of the squad".

Looks a cracking player to me.

I agree, Yaya Toure was excellent yesterday.  Interesting you should compare him to Vieira, Wenger said recently in an interview that he offered 10 million for Yaya in January to replace Vieira but Olympiacos were not willing to sell.  Wenger was told to wait until the summer, but since Arsenal signed Diaby instead, watch for Yaya to go to another big European team this summer.  I'll bet United are having a look at him with their midfield deficiencies.
