Women's world cup

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

Women's world cup action going on...

The U.S were clearly murdered by the ref against Brazil with 4 or 5 clearly horrible one-sided calls, and manage to score with 30 seconds of injury time in extra time to send it to pks where they deservedly won it....

Call my bias, but my goodness.  One of the craziest games I've seen in years, and the poorest officiated game since The away game to Benfica in the Europa league we had 2 seasons ago.

Ya I saw that as well.. What the retired US women's soccer player commentator was saying is that these refs have had basically no experience in refereeing high-class games like these and they struggle to keep up, which is why every game comes complimentary with 5-10 absolutely atrocious decisions.

I know it's the women's world cup, but that refers to the players.  They should allow some men refs, just like they allow some woman refs in the premier league.  I'm not saying have only male refs, but there should be some involved.

The England girls? Sorry Reg don't know where you're from.

Ya I watched that game against France.  Was really pulling for England to win... Problem was England's game plan is to kick it over the top to their single striker who isn't fast enough to outrun any defenders... Didn't work very well.

I'm from Mozambique, black as the ace of spades but I've always supported Liverpool so consider myself a Brit.

Do I get any props for being an American and knowing exactly where Mozambique is?

no you need a smack for believing that liar Reg, and for starting a potentially good thread without photos.
