Jose Mourinho confirmed he is quitting Porto to move to the Premiership after his side beat Monaco 3-0 to lift the Champions League trophy.
Mourinho is expected to be named as Chelsea's new manager, but he has also been linked with Liverpool.
He said after the 3-0 win: "My desire is to leave and I will go to England.
"One club had a serious conversation with my agent and a small conversation with me. I have given my word to them and I will not change my mind."
Mourinho added: "My agent was involved in a few conversations. I want everything to be done right.
"I will speak to the Porto president and I hope he respects my wish to leave.
"In the next few days it will be clear. There is one club I give my word to and one I would like to go to.
"This will not change even if I get other situations because we have won the Champions League."

Mourinho refused to confirm Stamford Bridge was his next stop, but it would appear he is bound for Chelsea with chief executive Peter Kenyon in Gelsenkirchen to watch the final.
Chelsea have yet to announce the fate of their current manager Claudio Ranieri, who met Kenyon and the London club's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich this week.
It seems certain now that the Italian will give way to Mourinho as coach - with Ranieri either leaving altogether or moving into a director of football role.
Kenyon said on Wednesday "the situation should be resolved next week".
Meanwhile Mourinho will leave Porto in the knowledge he made them the first club since Liverpool in 1976 and 1977 to win the Uefa Cup and European Cup in successive years.

"We made history but I have to keep working and try to get success in my next step," said Mourinho.
"This is the best way to finish my career with Porto. In two-and-a-half years we have won everything.
"The club was sleeping a little bit two-and-a-half years ago, and it has woken up very, very well.
"I am very proud in what we did but the time to leave has arrived."
Asked whether Chelsea's spending power was a key factor in his decision, he said: "I think every club has a motivation.
"When you have money to spend you must spend well. When you don't have money to spend you have to go for the formation. The best way is to do both things.
"When clubs decide to change their manager they believe something is not the way to be so I want to work and enjoy my life as a manager.
"I love football and I love to work. The club, the board and supporters must know I go with all my heart and give everything to improve the club.
"I decided I would like to go when I felt in Portugal there was nothing more to win, the challenge was not big enough for me."
