If we had that sort of record when he's playing we could win the league !!! I still don't want him to go anywhere. United at home, Swansea away and Sunderland at home and then we will see an end to Suarez's ban.

If the club sell him on the last day of the season we will have paid him during a period this season when he has missed 4 matches due to being banned. I think it would have to be an absolutely crazy deal for us to buckle now.

Actually he will be back for the Sunderland game, all domestic games count towards the ban. Now we have progressed to the League Cup 3rd round - this will count also. The 3rd round is scheduled for week of September 23rd (after the Swansea game).

Cheers mate. That makes it even better.

Sorry SCS I should have said Southampton and not Sunderland and I think the Southampton game is before the next round of the CC Cup. Might be wrong.

No point in even discussing it lads, he aint going anywhere at this stage.
It will be good to have him back in the side, with him we will be able to counter much better, his energy will be a welcome addition.

Wouldn't rule it out at all - if the right bid is made including any player swaps then he can go

The club would surely be anticipating an acceptable bid for Suarez and potentially have a replacement lined up on the strength
of a phone call, and why not, it can be arranged.

Players are traded like cattle, but hope he stays like but you just never know with footy, anything can happen.

Real Madrid prepare massive bid to test Liverpool’s resolve to keep Luis Suarez
By Danny Griffiths Sunday 1 Sep 2013 10:02 pm

Wanted man: Suarez (Picture: PA)
Real Madrid are preparing to follow up their £86million world record signing of Gareth Bale by making a £45m swoop for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Sources in the Spanish capital have revealed that Real are ready to offload some of their key men in order to fund the move for the Uruguay international, who has a £40m release clause in his contract.

Suarez has been pushing for a move from Anfield all summer but recently appeared to sort out his grievances and seemed happy to stay on Merseyside.

However, the 26-year-old South American and his representatives will have been put on red alert by suggestions from the Spanish capital that Real are renewing their earlier interest in him.

Suarez scored 33 goals for club and country last season, making him one of the most dangerous strikers in world football and Liverpool are certain to come under heavy pressure to sell even though they have insisted he is not available.

Reds captain Steven Gerrard insisted before today’s 1-0 home win against Manchester United that the player should stay at Liverpool for one more season, showing loyalty to the club which stuck by him during his well-documented controversies.

Madrid are gonna try but given the club's stance, I think they'll tell them where to go, only problem is Mr Suarez handing a request in and being retulant about it. Interesting day ahead lads and lasses

Luis has now been banned for a total of 16 game and we have: WON 12 DRAWN 2 LOST 2

Since we lost to Man United back in January we have amassed 39 points compared to United's 38 over the same period. During that period we also lost to Southampton and West Brom. If that doesn't suggest we are going in the right direction after a truly awful start to the 2012/13 (12 points by Nov 11th) season then I don't know what will. I guess a few people will check those figures. correct me if I have got them wrong.

He won't go. Too late for the club to let him go.

I do think they will actually bid Kenny.

It is in their c.u.n.tish DNA to do this sort of thing.

Filth of a f**king club.

But you are right, he won't go.

He can try to pull a last minute stunt and so can they but its much too late.  :nod

I should have added "I hope" at the end of my spiel.

I agree that Sturridge should retain the central striker position with Suarez playing on the right of him.

Most of Suarez' real skill comes from the flanks running into the box, I suspect if we had an average position chart since he has been here most of the time you will see him in the top right hand quadrant of the pitch.
