Why does this not surprise me.

Madness. Utter madness. What do you have to do at this club to keep your job. How dare Capello win them the title!

Believe it or not, the kind of arguments that are wielded in Real Madrid surroundings, after 4 years without silverware are in the lines of this:

"Real Madrid must not only win, Real Madrid have to be a joy to watch aswell". They simply find Capello boring, too defensive.

And because of that, they will stumble in the same stone over and over again. You cannot make a decent project if you chop every project every 2 years.

For me this is good news, because it's for their detriment.

Capello will have the last laugh I feel as he's gonna be about 6.7million euros (I think) better off. In a perfect world he'd still have gotten a decent pay off but at the same time been able to go a tell Calderon and Mijatovic to go fuck themselves.

No doubt Real Madrid will now think that as they've won La Liga they'll be able to dominate spain and europe just on reputation like they have been doing these past four/five years. Hopefully the arrogant gets will go the same way as they did after sacking their last trophy winning coach.  :veryangry

FORCA BARCA!!!  :D  :p

He gets rid of the joke players like Ronaldo, Beckham, Carlos, Figo etc and gets a proper team together to win the league and then gets fired.

Madrid are a joke club that I have lost all respect for. I lost it when they got rid of Makele because he wasn't a star (just an actual footballer unlike the other clowns).

If they did manage to get Wenger they're all gonna be in for a big shock as he prefers to actually sign players on ability and not just on their star factor.

Can't see this happening though as Bernd Schuster is being tipped to get the job. From what I've seen of his teams they aren't anything easy on the eye in terms of the way they play. No doubt he'll win the champions league and la liga and still get sacked for not playing attractive football.

No doubt Schuster has done a good job at Getafe and Levante.

No doubt aswell that managing Levante and Getafe has nothing to do with being Real Madrid coach. As a player, Bernd Schuster knows well both Barcelona and Madrid (he was a great midfielder, reminded me of ALonso in some things) but coaching them is a whole another thing.

They really haven't a clue at that club, have they?

I really hope they slide after this. They completely and utterly deserve it.

I'm delighted by this news.  First of all, I'm sure it will blow up in their faces next season and they'll look feckin' morons.  More importantly, it should just convince Rafa all the more that moving back to Madrid to manage that mess would be career suicide.  If Capello's too defensive what would they make of Rafa's approach?  He'd probably win them La Liga and the CL and they'd still show him the door. :no

Wouldn't be the 1st time they'd done that.

Toshack won the liga, beat the scoring record of Real Madrid, but made a terrible mistake, he said this to the journos when he was asked to line up other players:

"It's easier to see pigs flying over the bernabeu that I changing my mind about the line ups"

That quote and some other literal translations of Toshack became famous in Spain, then he was sacked.
