Robbie Fowler is a shadow of his former glory, he finds it diffuicult to show his real ability in the teams he's been with because he's not getting the service.  Ironically we are creating chances but lack a true finisher and I don't mean Owen.  He's a special player but we need a poacher.  Rush, Aldridge Fowler even Keegan not skillful players but great players because they could finish.  We need a poacher and if we had one we would be up there!

Babb was never a great success at Anfield, the rest suffered the injury curse or just never got the chance they deserved. Camara would have made a good bench player, you never quite knew what to expect from him

I would say Litmanen, because Houllier never gave a change him to play in his own place. Jari is not a striker

It was a major mistake by Houllier to off-load Jari Litmanen.

You wouldnt mind Litmanen has said he would always love a return to Liverpool but Houlliers arrogance will prevent that.

It was the right time to sell Fowler, we got a good price for a player that was a shadow of his former self.

Has to be Litmanen for me - GH should have let go of Smicer and kept Litmanen.
I think that Fowlers career would have nosedived no matter who was managing the club. Injuries have taken there toll and it makes me angry that Robbie plays a good stone heavier (by the looks of him) and a yard slower than he did during his golden years. We did well to get 11mil for him.

For those who think it was time to sell Fowler. Simple question

Trophy season what was his contribution in

1 League cup quarters semi and final
2 Fa cup Fifth round, quarters and semi
3 Eufa cup semi and final

Include Litmanen and McAlister and as may son reminded me tonight. Sander Westerveld the keeper Houllier convinced us was s##t what was his role in the great defensive team and whats his role since moving to Real Sociedad  Owzat you love stats giv us a few here mate and I think we'll all get a wee surprise.

I don't want to pre-empt owzats stats but a bet Westerveld is way in front of Dodgy Dudek
