True about him being able to run all day. Not only will Rafa stick with him because of his quality but also because he has a fantastic engine to match it.

******.

Look at Madrid and Man City.

Get a clue ya nugget.

Ok then let's look at Madrid the most attacking club team in the world.

They have won 9 european cups by playing attacking football, more than any other team and small matter of 28 league titles.

Man city like every other team under Keegan play clueless football.

He has never found any balance between attack and defence and his teams have always been disjointed.

Who has won most world cups ???

That would be Brazil with 5 who again play the most attacking football.

Oh yeah and Liverpool from the mid 70s to mid 80s played very attacking football and won title after title and a few european cups aswell. :D

Looks like I have proved my point stu you retard.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

Attacking football has many forms.

Back to Risse, he is currently our best left back. No other is better. I can't see any. We have not shortlisted any.

No reason why we should not keep him.

adayinthelife,

The Liverpool sides of the 60's, 70's and 80's where ALL based upon physical aggression, strength and force with the ability to play and pass the ball. These teams where all superb defensively.

Attacking football doesn't win you games lad. Winning football wins you games as i said. So again, get a clue.

If you attack teams with better attacking players they will simply wipe the floor with you. The best thing to do is assess your strengths and play to them. Liverpools strengths are not attacking. We have two defensive central midfielders, a defence with a lack of pace and one fullback who isn't strong going forward, one wide midfielder who's game is about hard work and passing and two pacey strikers who are excellent at running into space.

And they were superb attacking sides.

Based on a solid defense.

They were winners. Not attackers.

Like i said, theres a difference. You can play all the attacking football you like it doesn't make you win trophies. Play to your strenghts and you will achieve the best possible.

Simple as that.

Football is a simple game, if you can't run fast, you don't race with other players for the ball. If you aren't strong, you don't try to use strength to keep hold of the ball. You play to your strengths.
