Liverpool FC can today confirm that Fabio Borini has completed a permanent move to fellow Barclays Premier League outfit Sunderland.

The Italian spent the 2013-14 season on loan with the Black Cats, scoring seven goals in 32 league games.

And he has now agreed a return to the Stadium of Light, bringing his three-year association with the Reds to an end in the process.

Borini, who moved to Anfield from Roma in 2012, departs having made 38 appearances in all competitions for the club.

BBC says the transfer fee is 10million. Not too bad...

£8 million plus £2m in add ons.

Good deal, considering he's useless.

He will probably do a decent job for them, he did well last time he was there, the weight of the shirt was too much for him here though. We got our money back on him so all's well that ends well.
All the best for the future Fabio.

Im surprised but pleased Borini has eventually departed.

Just shows what a narrow view of the game even top clubs have when a player of Borinis ability can be transferred for that amount twice.

There are better players for a fraction of that if clubs can be arsed trying rather than letting agents do the donkey work but selling them shyte.

It was the right thing for him to do if he wants to play football. His departure doesn't affect the team or squad one bit so best of luck to him at sunderland. If we did get 8 mil for him then we did well as that was all he was worth in the first place.
Seeing as we have now spent very little hopefully we will pull something out of the bag tomorrow.

Most exciting news of the transfer window for me. Even eclipsing the arrival of Benteke & Firmino combined  :buttrock

what are the odds he'll now go and score against us.. i think he'll do reasonably well at Sunderland. With all due respect to them, he's playing at a more comfortable level. But he was gawd awful for us

I remember BR buying him and saying what a great prospect he was and that he knew all about him working with him at Chelsea, what with Borini, Allen and Lovren, it tells us all about hisexpertise in the transfer market and this guy has pretty much full control of our tranfer decisions now.

All of you are wrong! He was a wonderful player! The manager didn't know how to use him! It's all the manager's fault!
