I agree it was a mistake to spend so much on an injured player though, even though he is very talented, he is always a risk when it comes to injury. But the point is, when he is fit play him because he is a very good player.
depends how long Roy has been looking at getting rid of him. I agree it's disapointing, like everyone i was hoping to see the the real Aquilani in action, but the fact that Rafa only used him against average opposition rang alarm bells long ago.

Even if it was just against lesser opposition he always did twice as much as Lucas or Masch did against that exact same lesser opposition, so it doesn't justify not keeping him around.
