Looked like a season ender at first. If it's anything less than that it'a good news.

Feel bad for him, just an unlucky start to his Liverpool career from day one. The only break he got was his ankle.

You could just sense him starting to come good as well, the goal was a great run and finish.
Ironic that it was VdV who injured him given before kick off VdV said the Newcastle version of Isak is the best player he's played against in English football,

Rumoured to be out for 8 weeks with a fractured leg.

Isak is having a bad season, all the transfer dramas, then struggling with new side and now this injury. Hope he recovers well.

Hopefully its only a small fracture because he already looks quite fragile as it is. I think we'll have to dip into the transfer market and try and get a cheap striker to try and fill the void left by Salah and now Isak.

I know I sound like a heretic saying this, but that obscene amount of money spent on Isak looks just about as wisely spent as the money spent on Carroll, Balotelli, Nunez and one or two others.
I wasn't keen on his signing from the start. Thought he was acting like a diva trying to get out of Newcastle. Saw the $$$ signs. And he downed tools in a tantrum. And THAT'S why he wasn't match fit at the start of the season and THAT'S why it's taking so long to get him where he needs to be.
I do wish the lad well, I just think it wasn't the wisest way to spend this summer.

Some sources saying we'll be going for Semenyo who has a £65m release clause.

Y'know I'm not that upset he's injured because he's not actually contributed anything so far. Hopefully it'll give Chiesa a chance to get some real game time and show us what he can do. Talk of Semenyo is no more than gossip, let's focus on what we have.

I kind of agree with you Bungle, but a fit and raring to go Isaak would have been a massive bonus for the team.
Unfortunately when joining us he was miles away from being match fit and what pisses me off even more is that with half the season already gone the fella was still, according to reports,"apparently" still suffering from a lack of pre season training  :Oo: WTF !
With hindsight we should've thrown enough money to sign Guehi that despite their managers protestations the Palace board would have found it impossible to refuse.

That is what I said before, we were faffing over 5 million for Guehi and we should have just got him mid window and paid his price which was already cheap. We didn’t need Isak we needed a central defender. He’s still a good player and we will reap the rewards hopefully next season but we still need to strengthen our back line.

I honestly think Slot doesn't know how to fit him in. Its very unfortunate hes out now with a long term injury but hopefully he gets back before the end of the season. If we got him up to speed and fit he could have been just what we needed in the run in. In those games where chances are few and far between he could have made the difference. Absolute clinical finish he has.
