Just hilarious to read what people thought of Hendo before Klopp came when he was captain in his first few years.
Klopp has had an insane effect on most players on the team, Hendo included....

Let's just talk bout Henderson and what a fantastic turnaround he's had under Klopp or how he has matured as a Liverpool player and filled out that captaincy.
He might not be the best player but his work ethic really rubs off on the other players.

I was impressed that in the post match interview he let Mane talk but as he started talk about how good they were and how good the situation was Hendo stepped in and finished Mane’s comments with things like Its boring I know, one match at a time, can’t get ahead of ourselves etc. He was clued in to what was needed to be said and stepped in when he saw Mane started to dream. Good leadership!

Out for 3-4 weeks, according to Klopp. Will probably miss the next 5 or 6 games. We'll miss him, but thankfully we have cover for him.

I had a quick read back over the past two years and read some of the stuff people said about him - quite amusing some of the stuff

“Not fit to be Liverpool captain “

“Should give the Armband up “

Not good enough for a top 6 side

Never win any league with him being in the team

Not a natural footballer

I did see that the same people posting all this ***** disappeared when they were proven wrong

Hendo has shoved all those doubters words back down people’s throats and he has shown himself to be more than worthy to be a Liverpool captain to lift the league and the CL

at the time those comments were put they were all true. He was punching in this team but he turned it around and look what hard work does. No need to drag it up though, it was what i was back then and nobody likes a 'told you so' post. Just enjoy the moment - no need to out people for the past posts.

Well said Lee.

Hendo was playing awful, had no leadership qualities and was a sideways and backwards passer. He's transformed himself and despite the magnificence of Mane and VVD this season, I'd give the player of the season award to Hendo. He's the full package now with hopefully another 2-3 seasons in him (just turned 30) to consolidate our place at the top.

The arrival of Alison, VVD and Fabinho have allowed Klopp to give Hendo a lot more freedom and personally I believe they are the key reasons for Hendo's improvement both as a player and a captain. Credit where credit is due and absolutely no dout that Hendo was definitely one of our players of the season but only Hendo's dad (Lallana) would claim that has always been the case.

Great season by the skipper, definitely a candidate for player of the season. I'd say it's a coin toss between him and Mane, but I think Mane will get it.

Big up to Jordan.

I was one of his biggest critics when he arrived and I could have never imagined him lifting the trophies he has over the past 18 months. Club legend. Official.
“You cannot transfer the heart and soul of Liverpool Football Club, although I am sure there are many clubs who would like to buy it.”
