:nod  while not necessarily world class, better than what we have. At the very least competition for the shirt which can only be good.

I doubt it's true but that would be a fantastic signing for us. I rate Lopez highly and I think that he is a world class keeper.

To be fair to FSG they are throwing money around in this window like drunken sailors.
Long may it continue  :D

True, a huge difference between them and the previous owners. They are however running the place like a proper business, which is responsible. As we earn, they spend and I am happy with that.

Well the important part is getting it right on the pitch, if you get it right on the pitch the rest falls into place (including the financial rewards) as United found out in the 90's.
In 1990 there was nothing between Liverpool and United in terms of wealth, size and power, the difference is that over the next decade they got it right on the pitch, we didn't, and now they are probably worth 4 or 5 times what we are (FSG bought us for £300m and last year the Glazers turned down a bid of £1.5B for United).

Fair enough on getting it right on the pitch but the biggest factor is having 67k watching as opposed to 43k. Sresses the importance of a bigger capacity at Anfield. Hopefully we should have 60k within 3 years

From Spanish paper Sport....

Liverpool have offered Xabi Alonso a three year contract to return to the club this summer.

The fee for Xabi Alonso would be €10m and Sport reckon that Real Madrid have secretly put the player on the market.

10m for 32yo........

I don't think so Mr Spanish newspaper
"LIVERPOOL: 6 European Cups, 20 Domestic Titles, 3 UEFA Cups, 8 FA Cups, 10 League Cups and 4 European Super Cups and 1 Club World Championship

All other English clubs pale into insignificance!"

No way Alonso will be back and unless we can tie up this Moreno deal which is looking less likely by the day then we are done.

Only way it will change is if Borini leaves on a permanent deal and a door opens, other than that I think our dealings are over
until January.

I know this will stir a Hornets nest. But if we went for Torres I reckon he would jump at the chance. I know about the way he left leaves a bad taste in the mouth. But if we can forgive Suarez like we did last season then why not Torres he's got to be better than Lambert. And if Sturridge is out for a few weeks injured we my friends will be truely FOOKED. It's like ground hog day 3rd time in about a decade we come 2nd and the next season instead of pushing on we go backwards. Don't the board and management ever learn
