LIVERPOOL are plotting a move for Crystal Palace star Yannick Bolasie after he helped wreck their title dream.
The Reds have made a firm enquiry about the 25-year-old winger after he starred against them in the final week of the season.
Bolasie inspired Palace's fightback from 3-0 down to earn a dramatic 3-3 draw at Selhurst Park as Tony Pulis's men delivered a fatal blow to Liverpool's title hopes.
Rodgers is a long-term admirer of the £2.5m-rated midfielder going back to the days when he was in charge of Swansea and Bolasie was at Plymouth.
He has kept tabs on the Congo international ever since as he has continued to catch the eye during his rise up the divisions to the top flight.
Rodgers aims to make up to six signings this summer to bulk up his squad ahead of Liverpool's return to the Champions League next season.
Bolasie, who can play on either flank, has the versatility Rodgers likes in his attacking players.
His relatively low price tag, due to the fact he has just 12 months left on his current Palace deal, makes him an even more attractive transfer target.
Bolasie is also wanted by clubs in Spain and Italy, including Fiorentina who had their interest rebuffed in January.
Meanwhile, Palace knocked back a £2m bid for Bolasie last week.
They are desperate to keep hold of him and have offered him a contract extension.

Stoke are planning to sign Assaidi this summer after the Morocco international impressed on loan but have been left stunned by Liverpool's opening valuation.
Liverpool are keen to boost the funds available to manager Brendan Rodgers as they prepare for the Champions League and are determined to raise around £30million through player sales.
Rodgers is happy to sell Assaidi, a £3.5 million signing from Heerenveen in August 2012, but Liverpool are demanding a significant fee for the 25 year-old.
Stoke believe the valuation is unrealistic and are confident of haggling with Liverpool in a bid to lower the price to a more acceptable level.
Mark Hughes, the manager, has already signed Phil Bardsley from Sunderland on a free transfer and is set to complete a deal for long-term target Mame Biram Diouf.
Stoke have agreed a three-year deal with Diouf, who will leave Hannover this summer, and will announce the transfer next month.
