hmm I think he is the best player in the world right now, if you look at all the games each of the big five players in the world have had over the same time he has been back in the team he is better bar far, not saying on getting goals but his over all his game is far better than say Messi and Ronaldo. Ian Wright gave out some stats on all of them on his show and he was ahead by a fair bit.......going to be hard to keep him unless we stay in the top two.

Luis Suárez has scored more open play goals(8) than Tottenham Hotspurs (6) and he has played 5 matches fewer.

he has been giving us everything since he came back, absolutely everything. he has settled back in well and looks to be really enjoying himself with his teammates. he is sublime to watch and is producing his best stuff to date. he has it all in his locker and more  :nod .
if i was rodger's id be fighting tooth and nail to keep him here beyond next summer regardless of what money is on offer. more quality player's (players that can actually start) around him and we could win a title  :nod

Last January was perhaps the best transfer window since Luis arrived. Danny and PC have helped to transform the team. Our record since they arrived has been excellent. To keep Luis we need a couple more quality players and who knows where we might finish in the league. United really didn't look that great today and they beat the league leaders. City have already lost 4 out of 11 and they spent nearly £90m in the summer. Money is important but it is certainly doesn't guarantee that you'll win every game or even a third of them. In fact it doesn't even mean you'll beat Sunderland bless them !!! Spurs have had a really poor week and it is going to take AVB time to get it right if he ever does. Chelsea have lost a couple and United have lost three. Worryingly Everton have lost only 1 and I really hope that is 2 after their next game  :nod Come on we can do this thing !!!
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)

World record bid and we will sell. But I think we should hang on until after the World Cup if he is going to go.

:wwww  not a chance in hell of getting that kind of money  :no  unless they give him a new contract but ayre has already stated they wont be treating him any differently to the rest and will only sit down with him at the end of the season when he enters his last 2 years.
£50- £55mil i reckon if he stays trouble free and has a good WC, considering he has only 2 years left and probably still wants out it will be a fair price. if he stays another year without signing an extension then he will walk for half that again.
personally id rather we kept the player as he will win us titles if the right players are bought to compliment him.

The only way you can get away with post like that is coz Betty's not on. You'd get 7 thousand reasons, all recycled, why saurez would not command that fee.

As for me, he's worth twice that, love to get an offer like that and the club tell'em to F off.

It seems our Luis ain't the brightest bulb in the box when it comes to off the field matters:

Arsenal transfer target Luis Suarez removed Liverpool get-out clause from own contract.. but forgot
9 Nov 2013 22:30
Step taken on agent's advice in 2012 prompted John Henry's 'What do you think they’re smoking over there at Emirates?' tweet

Andrew Powell

Arsenal could not activate the £40million get-out clause in Luis Suarez’s Liverpool contract this summer – because the player himself had scrapped it a year earlier, writes Tom Hopkinson in the Sunday People.

The Gunners thought Suarez was theirs when they bid a cheeky £1 above the £40m figure in August, but the Uruguayan had decided to remove the clause from his contract on the advice of his agent Pere Guardiola 12 months before.

With Liverpool failing to qualify for the Champions League, Suarez agitated for a move during the close-season, completely forgetting that the £40m escape agreement no longer existed.

The Anfield giants rejected Arsenal’s bid knowing they were on solid ground – even if the Suarez camp didn’t.

And it prompted the infamous tweet from Liverpool owner John W Henry, asking: “What do you think they’re smoking over there at Emirates?”

The get-out figure had been included in the five-and-a-half year agreement Suarez signed when he arrived from Ajax in January 2011 for £23m.

Reds bigwigs had been happy to leave it in Suarez’s contract when the two parties sat down to restructure his deal in the summer of 2012, but Guardiola decided against it.

Thank god his brain works on the pitch cause it seems to shut down the minute he goes down the tunnel!!  :D

I think £100m plus is stretching it but football is a crazy world. I certainly think if he will be worth more than £60m if he continues the season in his current form and behaves ! A decent WC would also increase his value.

Like you I want him here for as long as we can persuade him to stay. He is an absolute winner. His expression said it all towards the end of the Fulham game when we were winning 4-0 and he was disappointed at missing a scoring opportunity. I want him to be our future and not somebody else's. If Arsenal bought him they would probably sell him to United in a couple of years !!!

We don't sell mid season no matter what the offer and end of the season it will be redundant because he will have CL footy here at the Pool

If by chance we don't  and he still wants to go , get a massive price for him after the World Cup

Exactly! The world cup raises the profile of pretty much every decent player playing. Suarez' value will only increase even more after it.

I have to say that I retract the doubts that I have about Suarez... I knew he was very talented... but I thought that he was just a trickster, a solo artist who tries to do too many things by himself and as a result would not be as successful as he should. But so far he has been performing week in week out, scoring goals and making a difference. Martin Jol said that he has coached his defenders everything he knew about Suarez but that it might not help because Suarez is so unpredictable. Well it exactly happened the way Jol predicted. The thing I like about Suarez the most is that when he plays he always gives 100% and this is very rare for talented players like him. He does the dirty work... all he wants to do is win. It is pure passion for him and he is truely world class. To me he has come a long way in silencing his critics... And as long as he carries on like he is doing now not many fans will hold a grudge against his indiscretions in the summer.

Now, if only he commits his future to Liverpool... I'm dreaming...
