Blimey the change towards Suarez is quite remarkable.

He will be gone soon enough

he's as welcome as you benny lad.

I think people have seen a different side to Suarez these last few weeks. not a good side either. move him on? I'm not sure if we'll regret it but he can't possibly stay, can he?

That side of Suarez has been there throughout - we ignored it whilst he was scoring goals - as soon as he bit Ivanovic that was enough for me. Let another club deal with his problems - no amount of talent will ever make up for a player continually disgracing the club.

Suarez is a world class player and will most certainly be missed.  Just like we've missed Alonso, Masch and Torres.
We might hate them for leaving but im sick of acting like its no big deal.

We've finished outside the top 4 for 4 years now because we've lost our best players and replaced them with worse players in most cases.

He was that woeful he scored 18 league in 20 something games despite injured the season before he left and even the season he left he scored 9 league goals for us

65 league goals in 102 matches - every single team will miss that sort of end product. It's quite easy to taint Torres because of what happened with his transfer but with us he was truly world class - the best striker in the world

He was good for us very good but he lost it. He didnt care and it showed. He scored those 2 goals vs Chelsea and that was the only game he looked up to it.

Best striker in the world. So better than Messi and Ronaldo. Remind me did Torres ever win the golden boot?

Whilst with us he was the best striker in the world - he was lethal both in this country and in Europe and also for his country.

Kevin Phillps won the golden boot once - does that mean he was the best striker in the world

We have missed the Torres we had - clear as day , along the levels of missing players like Sami , Masher and Xabi

Even though this is a Luis Suarez thread, I believe Torres was the best striker in the world during the first half of his Liverpool career with no real flaws. After his injury he was nowhere near the best but could still have done a job for us, for £50M he had to go.

Suarez is also a good player, one his day one of the most talented players in the world but he has serious flaws in his character and also in his game. He is so impulsive and spontaneous that he doesn't know himself what he will do next so his team mates have got no chance of knowing this is why it's difficult building a team around him.

I was in Amsterdam a couple of months ago and some dodgy looking character noticed I was a Liverpool supporter and started talking to me about Suarez. It turned out he was an Ajax supporter and told me he was so glad when they sold him to us, he hated Suarez and said he plays for himself and not the team.

I've always loved Suarez since he's been here and ignored the negative points but now for £40M+.

I think I'll go with Carra's opinion on Torres. Based on Carra's comments we have missed him about as much a far.t in a spacesuit !! The Torres that we enjoyed had disappeared into a whinging under performing disruptive sulk. £50m was a massive bonus and very sensible business.
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 21/22 to 25/26  (10 years
are in brackets 16/17 to 25/26 )
LFC €490m (€650m)
Everton +€15m (€290m)
Arsenal €770m (€1107m)
Spurs €665m (€892m)
Chelsea €740m (€1045m)
Man City €460m (€1095m)
Man United €780m (€1340m)
