Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

So Suarez has 3 weeks to sort out his future, unfortunately Madrid will be in no hurry & why should they be. Fooking Suarez is the one in a hurry to leave making a deal all the more likely to happen in late August.

Anyone see Arsenal being thrown into the Suarez saga? the pundits must really be smoking crack

Why would he leave to play in London? Still on the same island with the same FA & uruguayan hating media. Not to mention the fact that Arsene Wenger is so tight only dogs can hear when he farts.

Im guessing when you throw his league ban into the mix this saga will probably continue on right to the end of the August and transfer window

And potentially his ban may be the factor that is putting off Madrid, the ban would be applicable in any other UEFA league - as proven by the Barton ban being recognised by the French FA.

What would be interesting is what Madrid/Barcelona/Bayern Munich's first few fixtures are like. Suarez is clearly a big game player, being banned for a big game could be the unattractive factor to the transfer we need to retain him.

I'm rather tired of all this speculation to tell you the truth, rather boring now.

He's fired his bolt and no one's stepped up to buy him.

Much ado about nothing as someone once said.

I want him gone tbh. But if he has to sit on the bench to sulk a season so be it.

Why do you want him gone?  :S

All he's really said so far is that it would be hard to say no to Madrid and that he hates the media over here.

Can understand tubby's comment. But whatever way, I want Suarez here next season. He does not strike me as a sulker, or bench sitter. He will fight, I hope. I will cheer, I hope.

too right it will.
we all know what could happen in this situation and it will be the clubs fault if we end up getting screwed in the end.

He's practically said he want's out. Sorry but if he was actually committed to us he would never have made such comments. I suppose I can't really be angry at the player. He's a top player who deserves to play for a bigger side. In a way we are lucky we even got him in the 1st place. Will hopefully make a decent profit on him when he goes. I wonder if that's FSG's strategy then. Buy up and coming players not yet fully proven then sell him for a profit. That way they don't have to stump up any real wonga.

Of course this is FSG,s strategy they,ve made no secret of this.  I for one don't want to see suarez going anywhere, especially now that we,ve missed out on the Armainian. If suarez stays I believe once his ban is served he will carry on from last season scoring for fun. And I believe this could make the difference between finishing in the Top 4 or being a also ran

With Suarez, we'll stand a good chance of finishing in the Top 4, without him, we'll finish between 5th to 7th to put it bluntly. He wants to go to RM more than RM wants him.

I'm at a point where if Suarez is leaving, I wouldn't be too upset about it and instead would want to know how much we can get for him. The performances of Coutinho and Sturridge while Suarez was serving his ban, convinced me that we can survive without Suarez. This wasn't the case when Torres left. When Torres left, the most devastating partnership in decades was lost forever. If Suarez leaves, so be it. BR will find suitable replacements with the money. As long as we get min 40 million for him, I'm okay.

Maguskwt. It,s all very well saying get 40 million for Suarez and everybody's happy. But who we going to buy a player of Suarez,s caliber? With no CL football and for top players these days it the holy trail. Brendon would have to convince whoever that we are progressing, which is not going to be easy

Agreed. Suarez is a toxic genius we can live without. Our attacking unit is much more versatile with the rest of the lads playing up front. If we can get a large sum for him I wouldn't even blink. As much as I appreciate his talent he is the type of player you can't relate to.

I doubt he is a big caliber team material. He is way too sloppy for a good CL team.

If he does leave, I don't think it will be a case of replacing him one for one. It will be more about strengthening our weaker areas like on the wings, at CB and to a lesser extent at DM. Building a more balanced and consistent and solid tram will be the key to our success...
