Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

For me I think that it is clear that he won't come out and say he wants to leave to the club. He's merely putting te come and get me out there (no doubt his agents are in cahoots with RM here) to see if they will test Liverpools mettle. I don't actually think that he really wants to leave either. Big star, big money, big spotlight, very lost at the moment and not realising what a tw@t he is making of himself. Time to learn the Liverpool way, shut up, head down and let your football do the talking.

There is a funny picture of a screenshot of an email from Ian Ayre stating that Suarez won't be returning from the Conf Cup - someone has gone to a lot of work

The british dont like honesty, especially from a foreigner
Luis Suarez has been the whipping boy and the focus of a hate campaign virtuallysince he came here, from the media, managers, players, the fa and non LFC supporters
He has galvanised people like Ive never seen before, and although his behaviour has sometimes been unacceptable and foolish, the amount of stick he has taken from the british public (and politicians) has astonished me.
I believe he is finished now as a Liverpool player and we should sell him asap and get as much as we can
Time to move on Luis...

And like I said, they are well known to be underhanded in the market.  :glare:

i agree and disagree with u to some extend. yes, most clubs will try to get the best deals. but RM scums try to get a fast one on us to many times!
they paid world record breaking fees for zidane (50m) and figo (45-50m), manus 85m pounds for fake ronaldo, they gonna pay spurs 85m pounds for bale. how much do u think suarez is worth?

if they really want suarez, then put the money where the mouth is, and show us the money!
ok end of rant.

What is the exact problem with RM? £30m for Alonso plus possible extras seems reasonable especially after the way Rafa had managed him in the previous 12 months. Owen and McManaman together with some very inept management by LFC ensured that RM could get them at a low price. If it was your business what would you have done? You can hardly blame RM for our ineptitude. Suarez has a long time left on his contract and we don't want to sell. The situation is different and we are in a position to play hard ball.If we let him go for less than £50/60m then questions should certainly be asked.I find it interesting that no other clubs are showing an interest at the moment. We need to get Chelsea or Man City to put in a tasty bid to up the price !!  :grinning:

Cant wait for him to go now tbh, hes been making ashow of us this past few weeks, its his own fault he cant blame lfc for biting another player.  Get top dollar for him buy 2 top class players and forget about him !! Ofcourse we will miss his goals but if he stays whats the guarentee he wont get banned again? We all know hes capable of doing something irrational again. love him as a player just think he's been sly and arl@rse to the club and fans now and cant wait to see the back of him.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Exactly how has he been making a show of us in the past few weeks? What has he said against Liverpool? What is Ayres doing to keep him? Does he want to keep him? Has Suarez been instructed by the club to inform the press about how discontented he is in England? If he has we certainly save face if we sell him and he looks like the bad guy.

Just want the saga to end either way now - i don't think there has been the connection to Suarez like there was with Torres etc because of the stupid things he has done.

All his statements this summer in regards Madrid have shown disrespect towards the club but its not new - he did it to force a move to Ajax.

Just get a decent amount of money for him and buy a couple of top strikers.

The club have already made a statement after his first "love to play for Madrid" statement.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22732814

A Liverpool spokesperson said: "Luis Suarez is not for sale. Neither Luis or his representatives have communicated these feelings directly to Liverpool.

"The club remains supportive of Luis and expect him to honour his contract. The club will not be making any further comment at this stage."

The club so far I believe are doing the right thing - they have made their statement and their feelings clear - ball is in the court of Suarez right now

2 possible outcomes...

A. Suarez stays and if he carries on from last season his goals could help us back into the top 4. Happy days.

2. Suarez leaves, we get £40m for him and invest it into 2 top players that'll help us next season. Happy Days.

either way...    Happy Days!

Or he is forced to stay and we have a Tevez situation on our hand and he goes on strike ( like he threatened at Gronigen ( sp ?)

Personally redno7, I'd prefer option 'a.

yeah deep down I think I'd prefer option A. not sure how much of all the recent headlines have been blown up by the media but we really could do with him repeating last seasons goal tally. just without the biting.
