Also let us not forget that Uruguay are involved in the Confederations cup which starts on sunday, so doubt this will be resolved for some weeks yet as i imagine he will take a holiday after the tournament

I'd think his agent would be communicating with us right now.  More because I think we are trying to avoid that from happening, so we'd be in touch with his agent and they could be discussing things.

I guess I understand Rodgers wanting to sit down and have a word with Suarez before we start thinking about selling him tho.

I think it's simple he just wants to go to a club that will compete at the highest level and that have a chance of challenging for trophies and success.

So hes basically just a Fu*king liar?

cos Liverpool don't have a chance at challenging for trophies?  we not been entered into the 2 cups next season?  maybe suarez would like to stay with us and work his bollox off  to ensure we get 4th, then he can play in the oh so great champions league? the chance is right there to make himself a legend...   hope he takes it.

He is a professional footballer - one who wants to win. He won't be the first to make excuses for leaving a club.

At other clubs he could have the chance to win titles and CL - not just try and challenge for domestic cups and try and break into the top 4.

Regardless of what Luis has said or hasn't said, done or hasn't done, I'm sick to my back teeth of LFC being the laughing stock of the media. We are still the most decorated football club in England and we have to put up with shight like this which unfortunately is not too far from the truth, like it or not:

http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/sport-c ... 56695.html

Several Liverpool players, including our present captain have been involved in embarrassing on and off field issues. Their press coverage combined probably amounts to less than what Luis has achieved in the relatively short time he has been with the club. Love Luis's ability but he really has got to start taking responsibility for his own actions. Is it time to take the money and move on?

I think perception is important. Though not as important as I used to think it was
The media these days is an absolute disgrace with half truths and lies being moulded into "sensational" stories which are headlined in the papers and "exclusives" repeated ad nauseum on ssn.
The feeding frenzy over Suarez proves my point. Yes he was stupid, foolish, inconsiderate etc. But the irony is the british have been racist towards him, because no-one else had had the same treatment for similar incidents. The evra "handshake" was insane and so much was made of it that the perception of Suarez and LFC was tainted beyond belief. That sly, slimy little fu'cker knew exactly what he was doing and how much damage it would cause
So, as much as I was proud that years ago Liverpools players seemed to leave all the sh'it to the mancs and the cockneys, Im afraid were in a new era. Whereby those who have been waiting  a long time to kick us, and those who just dont like scousers, have been given the opportunity and grabbed it with both hands.
However, we are still a top club, massive and recognised around the world and I would just say that although the cu'nts here love to try and destroy us, Im not sure if the rest of the football world cares what they say, or even knows, for that matter.

He said publicly on record that the press didnt bother him and he just ignored them

You can decide if you believe his reasons or not - I certainly don't

I used to have a boss that claimed "perception is reality". He didn't make a lot of sense most of the time but I certainly agree with him on that score. It doesn't matter who writes the article or what paper it is in. If it is repeated time and time again perception becomes the reality regardless of how true or otherwise the story is. I feel that is where we are with Luis. He is now seemingly going out of his way on national Uruguayan television to blame nearly everybody other than himself for the way he has been treated by the media. If this is a cheap way of avoiding a transfer request because of the possible negative financial implications then he is showing the club very little respect.I'm very surprised at his behaviour and given the way we have supported him the club deserves better.
