Like it or not reputation matters, I hate reading all the negative stuff being spouted about the club I love and support. When I see negative headlines with Suarez, next to him is our badge, our name and our shirt is on display and I just know that the more negative sh*t that is spouted about us the more and more people will hate this football club. This is a great football club with a proud history, great traditions that are passed down from generation to generation, it's a special club and I hate hearing negative stuff about such a great club. If that makes me sensitive or whatever then so be it, I couldn't care less.

I'll tell you when we were perceived as the world pariah.......when sitting down at breakfast in a hotel in Brussels in the same room as 30 or so Italians calling me a "b**tardo", reading in the newspapers what shame I and others had brought on our club....negative comments about our club make you sensitive...do me a favourand grow a pair of hairy t**ticles.... :veryangry

You obviously haven't read Boxcarf's opinions on Suarez. This little hypocrit advocated selling Suarez because he doesn't like the controversy that follows him. And he was quite vociferous about it too, apparently Suarez's celebration against Mansfield the other night made him sick. Here in this post, he's changing his tune somewhat but it doesn't disguise the fact that this little Sky generation fan wants Suarez gone because of the overwhelming media witch hunt that surrounds Luis.

I'm a supporter of this club, not of any single footballer and if a footballer is bringing this great club's name into disrepute or is tarnishing the image of this club, then I will come out in defence of my club. Anyone would think Suarez is the life and soul of this club, the way you carry on, you'll be launching an online petition to have Anfield renamed the 'Luis Suarez Stadium' before too long. I like Suarez, but I don't like his reputation and it's that reputation which has cost us dear both in points on the field and has seen our image and reputation take a battering over the last two years. This lastest incident has only further added to be tarnished reputation of this club. It's not fair on this club to have its name and badge sullied by the actions of one individual.

What utter none sense

I'm PROUD and HONOURED to have a player like Luis Suarez in our team. Our best player so far, the only player who works his socks off every single game. I don't give a f*ck about reputation, it's his work rate, commitment, determination, quality and passion that I CARE ABOUT in a player. Suarez has all these attributes engrained in him and I wish his teammates had it in them as well.

You are completely blind to see that there is a massive witch hunt done by the media to defame Suarez. Gareth Bale, who has the highest booking for diving doesn't get that sort of attention, but when Suarez does it he gets ripped to shreds. It's f*cking unbelievable.

What's worse is that our management board is doing nothing to prevent such media bile. Ian Ayre should come out, release a statement and ban commentators like Champion from ever coming to Anfield until he apologizes for his recent comments on Suarez. Our board need to grow a pair of b@lls and defend it's players correctly.

Didn't we hire a Media/PR guy in the summer, bit bloody quiet isn't he? I completely agree that the club needs to step in and start defending Suarez, it is getting to the point where they could start suing for defamation of character, both the player and the club.

Players have rituals. Read any top players autobiogs and you'll discover that if they don't perform all the rituals in the right order blah blah blah then they could be cursed. so lets say Luis scored that goal and didn't do the kissing wrist etc ritual. He then goes the rest of the season hitting the bar, post, row Z. It starts to play on his mind. it'd fuk his head up. so players do these rituals to avoid this. Kiss the turf, even...  TOUCH THE ANFIELD SIGN WHEN HEADING DOWN THE TUNNEL!

it's all part of a players game plan. So to use this against him is totally off the mark.

go have a think about it.

My point being you don't know the meaning of media negativity....duh
with regards to Heysel;
I didn't create the situation, I didn't throw masonary, I didn't attack or get attacked, I never chose the ground my crime was being a Liverpool supporter

your crime is you pretend to be a Liverpool supporter but have nothing in common with any of us.........WUM more like

You cannot argue with fact, had Liverpool supporters not charged towards Juventus fans then the wall would not have come tumbling down on top of Juventus supporters. I am not saying that this club was wholly to blame, both sides were as bad as each other, but this club cannot try and hide it was one of the main causes of the Heysel Disaster, though I am not sure what this had to do with Luis Suarez?

You clearly cannot read, Luis Suarez did handle the ball, though I don't think it was deliberate, even though a handball is a handball, the goal should not have stood.

Ban me then if you truly believe that I am a United supporter posting on here as a wind up merchant, if you are so sure that I am a wind up merchant, why don't you ban me from posting on the forum?

So because I am critical of Suarez and speak fact about Heysel I must be a wind up merchant, so anybody who doesn't share your opinion is not a supporter. Yet you wonder why this forum is practically dead?
