These owners have been good to us. They've been rightfully cautious in some situations. They over-spent when Kenny was in charge, and if we went on another spending spree like we had last summer, people would just want to take advantage of us again, and if people took advantage of us like that again, we would continually be taken advantage of in future transfer dealings.
They've brought in a new manager at a risk. They knew this season wasn't going to be fantastic regardless, but they knew if he paid off then we've got a great manager for a long time, and it's not something they'd have to worry about Despite all that's happened, they've supported us in the transfer market, and behind the scenes with the business side of the club, I don't think any other club has done as well as us in improving the way we get revenue within the rules of the FFP. Like some of you have said, Fulham weren't happy with us because Dempsey apparently turned on them. I think he would have turned on them regardless, and what Rogers said about Dempsey in no way deserved the response Fulham and Jol gave, but they weren't happy and they probably didn't want to sell Dempsey to us. I'm sure they're thrilled right now that we're having a striker problem, and that they had something to do with it.
The fact that Henry has came out and essentially admitted that nobody's happy about what happened is proof that they're willing to listen to their mistakes. I won't be surprised if we have a good January chest to spend, but if we don't there will be good reason.
