ah, so the owners should have REFUSED Kenny's and Comolli's transfers?
FSG trusted them and Kenny and Comolli are both EQUALLY TO BLAME....FSG were wrong and they won't make that mistake again.
Either that, or as you suggest, Kenny didn't have the balls to stand up and stop the madness of spending 100 million on utter cr@p. Either way, Rodgers is clearing up a huge mess and it'll take him time. FSG know that they f**ked up not signing a striker and i'll be rectified, either now or in Jan
just deal with it lad, fsg brought in their own man to sort out the transfers, the fact fsg went to see billy beane to ask him if he could recommend anyone who believed in their stats based approach shows highly they prioritised player recruitment. appointing comoli was the first thing they did.
fsg didnt just turn up in english football and go with the flow, they had their own idea`s on player recruitment and even scoffed at the current system. they wanted to revolutionise that part of the game in this country and said so in interviews.
they gave their man who believed in their philosophy an open chequebook and said to him go nuts.
suarez and carroll arrived days after kenny had got off that cruise liner, and even then he was only interim manager, they were even reluctant to give him the job permanently 6 months later but you reckon kenny had a big say in those transfers? even though the owners had a clear vision themselves which way the club should go in terms of player recruitment?
