Holland in 96 were a team full of the Ajax players who just won the CL
Scotland at that time were full of players from the prem and were consistently qualifying for tournaments
We got through the quarters against a strong Spanish side and then went toe to toe with Germany and created match winning chances that nearly won the game.
England in 96 attacked teams through quality players - we had the tournament's top goalscorer and didn't rely on set pieces to scores goals. England were one of the best teams in the tournament.
If you serious think the class of 2012 is the same then you really are utterly clueless.
I went to the swiss game AND the Dutch game in 96, we were poor against the Swiss and Holland were f**king dreadful. And the results are virtually the same, and that's what counts in football. England could have easily gone out against Spain in 96, just like we could have eaisly of gone through against Italy this year.
Our off the field antics in 96 were a joke too, as was our manager who legged it afterwards for a pay day with Australia. And you say it was a 'pure' experience.
As i've said, England did OK in Euro 12, nothing more, nothing less. Roy will be judged on his World Cup qualification, and if he c0cks that up then fine, nail him to the mast. But the irrational sh!te you're spouting is ludicrous
What makes you look all the more foolish is the fact you label everyone here as “impatient” when it comes to discussing football, yet you want Roy out of the England job within 6 weeks.
