Not sure if this is true but it would be great news for us if he is coming over. I'm surprise he is still only 26 as he seems to be around for ages.

So, what do you guys think? I think in the games he played last year, he had a slow start at the beginning after couple of games, he seems playing much better.

Oh do me a favour mate  ...He's had more injuries and false starts than one Darren Anderton. Why do we need another defender ? Anyway, he's bad news, as his silly-boy antics while at Leeds proved.

If we did loan him and Real's paying his salary, i say..why not? at least we can use him if we ever had any injury crisis (back-up)...unless he's the injured one....

Of those clubs, the most likely otion is Newcastle because they've still got a defence problem. It's known as Titus Shambles.

Leaving aside the fact that he was cr@p, selling Boumsong means they are now a defender short. I know less is more and all that, especially when rferring to those two, however, just dealing with the basic squad numbers means they need more players. Their squad is very small, 21 including their physio's faves, Owen and Dyer. With Duff also injury prone, and considering how many injuries they always have, long and short term, they need to make signings.

But anyway, what do I care? Leave them to their misplaced priorities and delusions.

Well the latest from sky sports news is that real madrid have given him permission to go on loan, and they put us at favourites. now my gfeordie boss has said that it'll be another signing that newcastle get ahead of us. i dunno how true it is that we even want him but it does look like hed more likely to go to newcastle than us, but u never know.

if he wants to get back into the england frame playing with us would be the better option for him.

Don't reckon we need another centre half if we are to co ntinue to play a 4-4-2 formation. However...I am convinced Rafa wants to play a 3-5.2 formation thus meaning another centre half would be welcome!

Unless Madrid are going to subsidise the majority of his wages I can't see us going for this one. I think Rafa has moved on from his initial interest of him from a couple of years back since signing Paletta and Agger. At the moment we may look a little short at the back in the central positions but that is only going to last a couple of weeks (at the moment  :lookaround ). If real were prepared to pay 70-80% of his wages then it may just be worth giving him a go to see if he could possibly be the short term successor to sami?

Benitez has dismissed the rumours, Liverpoolfc.tv.

"We are not talking with Woodgate," commented Benitez. "It is a rumour and the first I heard of it was in the newspapers. There is no interest in this player.

Its not true....Raffa has came out and said so!!

Why would we want him anyway??
Hes the most unlucky player i have heard of ffs!!Serious injury then serious injury!!Then he finally comes on for Madrid scores and o/g then gets sent off!!

Not to mention he got dumped by Kate Lawler!

Ffs if Woodgate has not been cursed at birth he must have walked under 50 ladders a day and broke a boatload of mirrors!
Keep him away from Anfield please...if he comes to Liverpool there will probably be an Earthquake the next day!!

No thanks for me!! :no
