That south american luganno or something.Plus some serbia montenegro centre banck vudic seem to main the main contenders for full back.but god only know.In all my life ive never seen so many players connected with liverpool.all we need is Nesta full back and joaquin on the wing and were away in a hack.

mate, those players are centre backs and personally, I think your dreaming wanting Nesta never mind at centre back!

Granted though, the players that you mentioned are quality though. I think that Pelatta would be a good shout if only he can get that EU passport!

I know there centre back and i am dreamin bout nesta.but rafa claims to want a new centre back to replace hypia.Lets face it.As well as hes playin hes gonna need to get his hyp-ia replaced soon.Oh what a clever pun i made.

Yea it is true that we do need a long-term replacement for Hyypia and it is well-documented that rafa is after defensive cover that will probably replace Hyypia after a season. Therefore, No way will the replacement be relatively old (i.e Nesta), it will be a young player like Vidic or Paletta.

No chance Sissoko will be sold. Thats . Rafa also rates Simana very highly so I think the whole "selling the French players" quote is nonsense.

Personally I thing Phillipe Mexes will be at Anfield in January. Not getting on well in Italy and always made it known, albeit during Houllier's reign, that he wanted to play for Liverpool.

Simao won't sign in January. Either because he wants to stay with Benfica and continue to play Champs League thus enhancing his reputation in Europe (shop window as well) or Benfica will ask for a silly amount of money. I have always preferred Joaquin because of his tender age and the fact he would fit in perfectly with the likes of Garcia and Alonso.

It all boads well fellow LFC fans. 21 days to wait and see what happens. Once thing is guaranteed - Rafa won't wait until the last minute during this transfer window. Not after the summer.

SHEFFIELD United boss Neil Warnock wants to sign a new striker, with Liverpool's Neil Mellor top of his hit list.

Warnock tried to sign Mellor last season but failed with a £700,000 bid although he is refusing to give up hope of bringing the Anfield frontman to Bramall Lane. He is also keen on Ade Akinbiyi and Lee Trundle.

I've heard that Joaquin is inconsistant, I don't follow La Liga so any of you that do please respond to that statement.
