Sounds like Mexes doesn't want to come to the prem too much, which is too bad.

Fingers crossed Ive rated this kid for a long time ,and I would be delighted if this came off ,this kid is the new Scholes .

i wouldnt rate mertsecker too highly or mexes either.
as mh said he is having a poor season full of mistakes,and from what ive seen of roma in the last few years i also say mexes is rubbish.neither is an improvement on what we have here already.

No, I think he said he would get more playing time at Wigan ,and on reflection (albeit before the Kings return )he was probably not far off the mark ..... anyway I personally feel this Kid is seriously good and would shine in our team under Kenny

Would love us to get James McCarthy hes a brilliant player very much in the Scholes mould as red mentioned. As for the last few pages on here yes its important we have british players in our team/squad but its more important that we get the best players to take us back to the top. Cahill and Dann are very solid defenders and id be more then happy with either of them but id take Sakho and Kjaer over them anyday. Thier younger better and would be compliment each other, also (especially in Cahills case) they would cost alot less. Sanchez would be my no.1 choice as a winger but hell cost about 30 million. Agree on Young being a priority hes probally the best crosser in the prem, but id prefer Turan to Jarvis hes much better and wouldnt cost that much as hes ran down his contract. Id even take Johnson over Jarvis. Leighton Baines would be a fantastic buy.

Also on the Mexes rumours, it wont happen he wonts to stay in Italy

I know Mertesacker has made some mistakes this year, but if he can clean up, he's one of the best. I always knew McCarthy was a decent player, I didn't know hew as 21- holy sh!t. Mexes probably won't be coming to the prem because he said he prefers Italy, but he didn't rule it out, he just said he preferred because he understands how the Italian league works. I worry we won't get Ashley Young because manure want him, so maybe we can raid Wigan and grab N'Zogbia as well.

He's a cracking player and only gonna get better. He's only young fella, but he's big, strong and is a great passer with vision. I'd love to see him come to us.....Read an article in an Irish newspaper this morning which suggested it might indeed happen.
