We desperately need a quality defensive midfielder, at £30m Everton can have Witsel, dont rate him at all.

Watched Witsel a few times. He's a good player, decent all round game but doesn't really seem to Excel in one area. I thought Joe Allen looked much better than him tonight

30m is a lot of money for Everton so they obviously rate him.

Witsel is a good player who has the right sort of physique to be effective in the prem but I have to say I don't think he is worth £30m. Mind you I don't think Mane is worth £36m either.
He will improve Everton though, if they can hang on to the likes of Lukaku, Stones and Barkley I think they could surprise a few people next year, Koeman is no mug.

I hope we dont throw in the towel in our efforts to sign this Dahoud lad from BMG, a quality CM is an absolute must and personally speaking I will consider this summer to be a complete wash out if we don't significantly upgrade what is the weakest area of our team.
The squad report back for pre season training today so the new season isn't that far away, this time next month it will be final preparations time and given our start it will be crucial that we get off to a flyer.

On the subject of Dahoud, the german paper and journalist that originally broke the Karius deal is saying today that Dahoud has turned down BMG's new contract offer and also goes on to say we have offered 30 million euros for him

The echo are saying that the club are considering blocking any moves for Joe Allen as it's becoming increasingly unlikely that we will sign Dahoud or Zielinski. If we go into next season with the same group of CM's as last year then we can kiss goodbye any hopes of finishing in the top 4 before a ball has even been kicked.

Nothing stops us from going back with a counter offer. If we don't then I'm satisfied that Klopp does not think he's worth it.

Wouldn't surprise me if that move happened tbh, i cant see him staying at United given his relationship with Mourinho.
