Higuain is on fire, and they spent a ton on Benzema, and sometime Ronaldo plays as a striker . . .

He knows where the goal is. Would be our 2nd best striker.

To all the people saying 'no thanks'  you do know that we have very little money and David N'gog as our backup to Torres.

Agree 100% mate. On a free, nothing to lose. Legend of the game. Could teach Ngog a thing or two about finishing and positioning. Would also be more then handy coming off the bench for 15/20 mins a game. Don't see why so many are reluctant, you do realise we don't have the money for the likes of Villa, Aguero, etc

I agree Raul could be an inspired signing, although only if we get him on a free, i wouldn't like to have to pay a transfer fee on top of his substantial wages.

Van Nistelroy would have been better, but Raul's OK too... if we get him for free/cheap

Raul on a free? It would entirely depend on how much he'd want in wages and how much he was expecting to play.

I seriously doubt that he'd have the physical attributes to cope in the Premiership and he has lost that bit of acceleration he used to have.  I fear he'd be Morientes all over again, but you can never be sure, he might be a good bit of business on the cheap.  I've also heard rumours about Gutti coming on a free, not particularly keen on him.

Here's a list of some of the players I think would be realistic to try and sign:

Hleb - Out on loan from Barce and they clearly don't need him back.

Flamini - Has barely kicked a ball for Milan but is an effective Premiership player, easily better than Lucas.

Guttierez - For me easily the best player in the Championship, I thought he looked decent when he was in the Premiership too.

Kjaer - we need a centre half and if the rumours that this guy has a 10mil buyout clause are true then sign him up.

Ireland - If we could get him for under 10 mil I'd have him no problem.

Can't think of any more off the top of my head.  Obviously we can't afford all of these guys, but one or two of them would be nice business imo.  We do need another striker though and a left back, but I can't think of any great suggestions at the moment...

Guti is actully quite OK for me.If we are getting rid of Aquilani, I'd rather see Guti play than Lucas.Guti gives good balls, exlenet passer, maybu doenst run much, but at least he doesnt mess up, unlike Lucas.Flameni and Hleb were also OK in Arsenal. If we get them for a good price, then we've done a great job.Kjaer is a great centre half, but his attitude starts to kind of anoy me.I also cant think of a decent striker to sub Torres when needed, but it should be someone like van Nistelrooy. As for a left back, I've been looking at that Russian kid Schenikov from CSKA Moscow.A big promise he is.

We can pick up all the burnt out frees we like, hoever other clubs have different strategies "Manchester City target £50m Arsenal skipper Fabregas".

We have to rise to the challenge or we're out of the top 4.

Yeah makes me sick. We bring in Jovanovich on a free and City are trying to prise Torres away from us. The owners need to realise they cannot take us forward.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Oh... sorry, I thought he ment Guti becouse he said that he likes Gutierrez ("For me easily the best player in the Championship"), but doesnt like Guti (not particularly keen on him).Well anyway, both are OK for me, especialy Guti :D, but I dont think that they'll give him for free :D.But he would have been a better sign (and cheaper) than Aqua in any case.

I was just saying why I got confused with craig's post, becouse I thought that he said that we might get Barca's Guti for free but he doesnt like him that much, but he would like to see Gutierrez for who he thinks that is OK.Then I said that Gutierrez is OK but Guti is better :D.
