Since Rafa left and t&t were the owners, this club has fallen from the 'good choice' destination for international players. We end up either having to gamble on promising youth or get 2nd tier players like Benteke. Hopefully now Klopp and the current owners can make this club a good choice destination again.

Putting this particular source to one side, it does look like this is a real possibility. Some reasonably credible ITKs say our interest in doing a deal in the summer is genuine along with his desire to move to us. Described as an out and out DM. Looks as though Klopp is looking to remodel our central midfield. Not sure where that leaves the likes of Allen and Lucus.

Liverpool target Ignacio Camacho could leave Malaga in cut-price £4million deal this summer

Cash-strapped Malaga could sell Ignacio Camacho for as little as £4million.

Liverpool have been tracking the former Atletico Madrid midfielder and are interested in signing him this summer.

Malaga are desperate for cash and even though there is an £8million buy-out, the Spanish club are likely to compromise.

Camacho. 25, has made 148 appearances for Malaga since joining in 2011.

A former Spain captain at youth level, his only senior appearance came against Germany in 2014.

In the bin, hopefully.

I think JK will see the largest amount of investment during his time as manager.
Whether that begins in the summer, who knows.
JK smiles and giggles a lot, but JK's no fool!!! - He wouldn't have signed up for the job if the $$$ were not serious $$$

If true I bet a good chunk of the money will come from player sales.

Its not important whether he has massive funding or little, whats important is how he spends it.

The transfer committee should be scraped altogether. Here we have a manager who turned nobodies into world beaters at his previous club. Klopp should be given all the authority in transfers...

But weren't those players identified by Michael Zorc (sports manager of Borussia Dortmund) and his recruitment team?

One or two papers are suggesting that we might have edged ahead of City and Arsenal in the race to sign Granit Xhaka, I'm not getting my hopes up too much yet but he would be an absolute terrific signing, he's a player very much in the mould of Xabi Alonso.
BMG want £30m+ for the 23 year old but he would be worth every penny IMO, you only have to look how we fell apart when Alonso left to see how key a position deep lying playmaker is, we keep on spending fortunes on strikers when in reality it's midfield where games are won and lost.
Grujic and Xhaka would make a very exciting MF pair, both tall, athletic and very classy on the ball. The prospect of those 2 linking up with the likes of Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge next season would be fantastic.

Good point. Having a good CM partnership would also make a huge difference to our defensive game. The right blend of players isn't there right now.
