Lucas Moura is thought to have been offered to a number of European club.

The PSG forward was looked at by Manchester United before he joined the Ligue 1 side, and Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City would also be keen on him for the right price.

The Brazil international, 22, has been at the Parc des Princes since 2013, joining from Sao Paulo for just under £45m.

And Moura, according to reports in Spain, has been offered around having failing to hit the expected heights.

It is suggested Moura has been offered to Barcelona but the Catalan club is currently under transfer embargo, which would allow the Premier League clubs to swoop.

Liverpool have reportedly made Tottenham's Jan Vertonghen a key transfer target as they look to bolster their defence in the January window.

The Belgium international, who turned down Arsenal in favour of a move to White Hart Lane, has already intimated that he is unsettled at the club by admitting that he won't be signing an extension to his current deal.

And with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino looking to offload a number of players including Vertonghen, the club could be willing to sell the 27-year-old in the winter transfer window rather than let him depart for nothing in the summer, and according to the Daily Mail Brendan Rodgers is ready to bring him to Anfield.

Liverpool are being quoted £4m for Benfica's Uruguayan right back Maxi Pereira.

Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is desperate to bring in a right back.

Liverpool have also looked at Barcelona's Martin Montoya, 23, who could be allowed to leave in January to get valuable playing time.

But they will face competition for Montoya and have been looking at Pereira, 30, who is out of contract and free next summer.

Benfica are asking for big money in January for an ageing player who is free in six months' time.

Besiktas and Trabzonspur are also interested.

Liverpool are lining up a shock move to sign Everton star Kevin Mirallas, according to reports.

Mirallas, who talked up a move away from the Toffees this week, looks increasingly likely to be changing clubs in January.

Tottenham have apparently already spoken to his agent about a deal, but the Daily Express says Everton's Merseyside rivals Liverpool are also in the race.

It's claimed that they're interested in doing business for the Belgian and are said to be 'monitoring the situation' ahead of deciding what to do next.

Everton are expected to offer Mirallas a new contract soon but if he rejects it, they will almost certainly look to cash in.

Liverpool target Timo Horn says he intends to sign a new deal with Cologne.

The Germany U21 international has emerged as a potential signing for Liverpool as they look to increase competition for Simon Mignolet.

Liverpool have also scouted Loris Karius at Mainz and Norberto Neto of Fiorentina while Stoke's Asmir Begovic and Petr Cech of Chelsea have also been considered.

However, Horn said: "I have said it more than once: I am in talks with FC Koln [regarding a new contract]. I want to sign on with my club."

Talking to Cologne-based Express 1 newspaper, his agent, Volker Struth, added: "We have been told about those rumours. However, no one contacted us directly."

Horn has played in every Germany youth team from the U15 side upwards, but the 21-year-old is yet to feature for the senior side.

Crystal Palace have placed a price on the head of in-form winger Yannick Bolasie amidst growing speculation of interest in the Congo international according to Goal.com.

The 25-year-old recently signed a new long term deal with the Eagles, having joined the south London side back in August 2012, but a series of quality performances have led to prospective suitors scouting the French born wide-man with Liverpool known to be keen.

This source claims that though the Selhurst Park side would be loathed to lose Bolasie they would find it hard to turn down an offer of £10m or above.

Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers may be keen on strengthening his options in the final third and may feel that a move for Bolasie would be a cost effective option to consider.

Bolasie has started 14 of Crystal Palace's 15 Premier League fixtures this season.

Agreed mate, Cavani would have been the ideal replacment for Luis, but if i am completely honest i dont see us signing anyone at all in Januray, if anything maybe a keeper, but i dont think the Americans will trust the shark with another massive wad of cash

Juventus and Napoli are set to battle it out for the signing of Aston Villa captain Ron Vlaar.

The midlands club have failed to reach an agreement with the defender over a new deal and Villa are worried the Dutch international could leave the club for free when his contract expires next summer.

Napoli boss Rafael Benitez wants to strengthen his defence and has made the 29-year-old one of his top targets, but Juve will provide stiff competition for his signature, along with long-time admirers Manchester United and Liverpool.

Although Villa are reluctant to let Vlaar leave the club in the January transfer window, Paul Lambert may be forced to cash in on the centre-back next month instead of risking his key man leaving for nothing at the end of the season.

Javier Pastore's contract extension could end up being a massive boost for Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham.

Pastore had previously been linked with a move to England, with Liverpool, Chelsea and United all credited with an interest.

And while the Argentine's decision to commit his future to PSG could be seen as a blow by some clubs, it could end up having unexpected positive benefits.

Reports in France suggest that Pastore's new deal will put pressure on the Ligue 1 club's ability to adhere to Financial Fair Play guidelines.

And the Paris outfit may be forced to offload at least one star to balance the books.

Indeed, it is suggested that both Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi could be forced out of the club after Pastore signs on the dotted line.

Cavani has attracted huge interest from Arsenal, United and Liverpool in recent weeks - although the Uruguayan is thought to prefer a move to the Gunners to enable him to live in London.

And while Lavezzi could be set for a return to Italy, both Liverpool and Tottenham harbour ambitions of getting him to move to the Premier League instead.

Brendan Rodgers has identified Chelsea's Petr Cech and Stoke's Asmir Begovic as his top targets.

Liverpool's preferred choice between the sticks is Cech, who is unsettled at Stamford Bridge following the rise of Thibaut Courtois.

However, Rodgers knows that it will be hard to tempt Jose Mourinho to part ways with the Blues stalwart, and has also highlighted Stoke's Begovic as another potential signing.

The Bosnian joined the Potters in the winter of 2010, and could be tempted to leave Mark Hughes' side in search of a fresh challenge at Anfield.

Liverpool have thrown their hat in the ring to land Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen in January.

The Reds were last night eliminated from the Champions League after a draw with Basel and Brendan Rodgers could dip into the transfer market next month to strengthen his squad.

And reports in Spain suggest that Liverpool have already held preliminary talks with Vertonghen's representatives about a move.

The Belgian international has previously admitted he might think about leaving Spurs if he doesn't get an opportunity to play Champions League football.

That has seen the 27-year-old linked with Manchester United in the past but it now remains to be seen whether Liverpool can persuade Vertonghen to move north with their European fate next season far from certain.

Liverpool are reported to have spoken with the agent of Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen over the possibility of a deal in January.

The Express has reported that the Merseyside outfit are looking to add the Belgium international to provide a bit more protection as they aim to work their way up the table.

Brendan Rodgers' side crashed out of the Champions League and dropped into the Europa League on Tuesday and sit ninth in the league, six points off the top four.

Vertonghen has attracted interest from Manchester United previously and has suggested in the past that he would leave White Hart Lane for the right club.

Arsenal are ready to battle Liverpool for the signing of Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Borussia Dortmund pulled off something of a coup when they landed Mkhitaryan from Shakthtar Donetsk in 2013, but the 25-year-old has struggled under Jurgen Klopp this term.

And with Dortmund scrapping near the bottom of the Bundesliga, reports in Italy suggest that Mkhitaryan could be on his way in the near future.

Arsenal's priorities in January remain firmly on bringing in a defender and a defensive midfielder, but Arsene Wenger has stated in the past that he would not pass up the opportunity to bring in the right type of player.

And it is suggested that the Gunners may be willing to meet Dortmund's £18m asking price to bring Mkhitaryan to the Premier League.

Mkhitaryan has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in the past and the Reds could yet revive their interest in the player should Arsenal make their move.

It now remains to be seen whether Dortmund are willing to leet Mkhitaryan leave in January to bolster their transfer coffers and allow the forward to try and recapture his form in a new environment.

Its nice that we are getting linked with all these players, but with the uncertainty of FFP, can anyone see us doing any business, or any big business?

The 30mil links with Martinez/Cavanni ect, the likelihood of that happening is slim to none. Maybe a small transfer for Cech if Chelsea will sell to us, but I can't see us being able to overhaul the squad like we need to.

IMO, we need a GK to take over Migs, a CB and a Striker. But again, I cant see anything drastic happening in the window.
