Valdes would give Mignolet some competition but I think we need better. Never been overly impressed with him.  Decent keeper but nothing special imo

This is funny  :D

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal may be capable of pulling off a significant transfer coup after learning the availability of Karim Benzema.

Spanish sources are reporting that Carlo Ancelotti is prepared to listen to offers for his coveted French international.

The suggestion is that the former Chelsea boss isn't desperate to sell the 26-year-old, but should an attractive proposition present itself - he will sell.

Ancelotti is keen to clean house, with a number of high profile stars expected to leave the Bernabeu when the transfer window reopens.

Javier Hernandez, Fabio Coentrao and Iker Casillas are all expected to depart to alleviate Los Blancos from the restraints of Financial Fair Play.

Benzema only recently signed a new five-year contract worth a reported £150,000 per-week which means the Premier League trio won't acquire him cheaply.

It would take a fee in the region of £40m to get the attention of Madrid chiefs - but names of a similar ilk including Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani and Lionel Messi would cost a lot more.

Inter Milan director Piero Fassone has admitted it would be difficult to resists offers from Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham for Mauro Icardi or Mateo Kovacic.

Icardi has seen himself linked with a £28m move to the Premier League with Spurs, Chelsea or Liverpool in recent days.

And Kovacic has attracted interet from Arsenal, United and Liverpool dating back to last summer.

Inter are hopeful that they can get both players to commit their future to the club, but Fassone admits that the duo may be allowed to leave for a big club.

He told Corriere dello Sport: "I've learned that no player is off the market in football, it doesn't work that way.

"It's possible to keep Icardi and Kovacic although there are other clubs have more appeal than us.

"Inter can compensate with the motivation we give players, with the opportunity to grow that we can give them.

"I'm confident that Icardi, Kovacic and Dodo want to stay with us.

"If then a big club arrives that wants them, at some point it would be right to make them happy.

"The extensions? Ausilio has met with Handanovic, Kovacic and Icardi's agents, there are the conditions to arrive to an agreement with all three.

"It makes me optimistic to see to see that the players want to stay."

Sporting Lisbon  insist that William Carvalho won't be leaving the club for the Premier League in January unless his £35m release clause is met.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for the 22-year-old, who can play in midfield and defence.

All four clubs were interested in Carvalho over the summer, but were put off by Sporting's refusal to budge on their asking price.

And while the Lisbon club may be prepared to negotiate more next summer, they are keen to keep their core together for the remainder of this season.

Indeed, reports suggest that Carvalho - along with Rui Patricio, Fredy Montero and Islam Slimani - will remain at the Estadio Jose Alvalade unless Sporting's hand is forced by someone meeting the players' release clauses.

Such a move may be a boost to United's chances of beating Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea to the Portuguese international, with Sporting leaving the option option for a swap deal involving Nani at season's end.

Nani has been in electric form since returning to his homeland, however Sporting insist they do not have the financial firepower to make the deal permanent next summer.

However, that could change if United are willing to use the winger as a makeweight in a deal for Carvalho.

Marco Reus looks set for a move to the Premier League next summer after his agent denied that the Borussia Dortmund star has already been held with Bayern Munich, alerting Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea to his availability.

Reus is likely to leave Jurgen Klopp's side at the end of the season, with the fallen German giants sitting bottom of the Bundesliga.

The attacker's release clause is set to drop to just £20million once the current campaign is over, with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern all scrambling to secure his signature.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has already made it clear that he does not intend to put in a bid for Reus, although the Portuguese tactician will continue to monitor the player's situation.

United, Liverpool and Arsenal are all interested in bringing Reus to the Premier League, and have been handed a huge boost after his agent denied speculation that Bayern had already opened talks over a lucrative long-term deal.

Speaking to Kicker, Dirk Hebel said: "There are no negotiations between Marco and Bayern.

"There has never been any contact."

Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto after offering him a giant salary worth £125,000-a-week.

Neto has emerged as a key target for Reds boss Brendan Rodgers ahead of the January transfer window.

And reports in Italy say Liverpool have now made their move, offering him a giant £125,000-a-week salary to move to Anfield in the new year.

Roma have also made an approach for the Brazilian but Liverpool are have blown them out of the water with this bigger offer.

Neto's contract expires at the end of the season and he looks destined to leave Fiorentina, having already rejected the offer of an extension.

Liverpool could make a move for former target Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with reports in Germany claiming that Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is running out of patience with the midfielder.

Brendan Rodgers attempted to land the playmaker from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2013, but was beaten to his signature by Klopp after the Germans submitted a bid of £24million.

Mkhitaryan shone in his first season at the Signal Iduna Park, scoring 13 goals in 45 games as Klopp's side finished second in the Bundesliga to a star-studded Bayern Munich squad.

Liverpool are also struggling in the Premier League, with a lack of goals and movement in attack Rodgers' main source of concern, and the former Swansea boss could be tempted to take Mkhitaryan off Klopp's hands on either a temporary or permanent deal.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore has admitted that teammate Yohan Cabaye could leave the club - putting Arsenal and Liverpool on alert as a result.

According to the Mirror the Premier League duo are interested in bringing Cabaye back to England just 12 months after the France international left Newcastle United for PSG in a £19m deal.

Now the Gunners and the Reds have been given further hope in their pursuit of the 28-year-old as Pastore reveals that his teammate is currently unhappy at the lack of first team opportunities at the Parc des Princes.

"I don't think that he wants to leave but it's true that we have a lot of midfielders," the Argentine was quoted by the Mirror.

"I hope he will make the best possible choice for him: either leave to get a game or stay here and earn his place."

Since moving to the French capital back in January the midfield ace has made 36 appearances for PSG in all competitions, competing with the likes of Blaise Matuidi, Thiago Motta and Marco Verratti for a place in Laurent Blanc's starting XI.

Cabaye could well welcome a switch back to English football, with the Frenchman knowing the division well from the two-and-a-half years he spent at Newcastle.

Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto could be coming to Liverpool as the Premier League club offer him a giant £125,000-a-week contract, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Brendan Rodgers has had his eye on Neto for some time and is looking to ward off other interested parties such as AS Roma with a colossal wage offer for the Brazilian.

The 25-year-old's current deal with La Viola expires at the end of the season and he looks destined to leave the Serie A club having rejected the offer to extend it beyond that.

Neto joined the Florence based side from Atletico Paranaense in the summer of 2011 and has since played 76 times for the club in all competitions - although is yet to earn his first cap for Brazil.

Liverpool are ready to begin shock talks with Arsenal over a deal to sign forward Joel Campbell on-loan in the January transfer window.

Campbell, who has struggled for game time at the Emirates Stadium so far this term, is expected to depart on-loan in the new year, with Swansea and Everton both linked.

But reports in Spain say Liverpool are also interested in a deal for Campbell, with Brendan Rodgers known to be a huge admirer.

The Reds are poised to make several new signings when the window re-opens and if this report is to be believed, Campbell could be the first.

Liverpool have admitted defeat in their efforts to recall Divock Origi from Lille and have instead turned their attention to Arsenal's Joel Campbell.

Rodgers is keen to reinvigorate his front line with a six-month loan of Arsenal outcast Campbell, who's made just two substitute outings in the league this term.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is keen for the 22-year-old to earn regular first-team opportunities, with Leicester and West Brom also showing an interest.

Inter Milan have told Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool that they can sign midfielder Mateo Kovacic for a bargain £10million.

The Croatia international is regarded as one of Serie A's brightest talents, having joined Inter from Dinamo Zagreb for around £12million in early 2013.

Kovacic has already made 70 senior appearances for the club, but has been tipped to leave Roberto Mancini's side as the time on his contract starts to run down.

Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old's situation, but Louis van Gaal, Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers are all keen to bring the versatile youngster to the Premier League instead.

Liverpool are ready to rekindle their interest in Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani after discovering he is keen on a move to the Premier League.

Reports earlier this week suggested that Cavani remains keen to move on from the Parc des Princes in the near future.

The Uruguayan international has publicly expressed his desire to stick around after growing unhappy playing out of position to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic last season.

But privately Cavani is believed to want a move to a club where he would be undisputed first choice.

Indeed, reports in Spain have suggested that Cavani is particularly interested in joining Arsenal in the summer. And that has seen Liverpool put the former Napoli man back on their transfer agenda.

Whilst Cavani is not thought to be contemplating a move in January, the end of the season is a different story.

However, the Reds could face an uphill battle to land Cavani, with the 27-year-old thought to have ruled out a move to Manchester United because he would prefer to live in London.
