Six of one half dozen of the other really. We'll still have the cash from the Babel sale whether he goes to Ajax or Hoffenheim, and the talk was of a loan deal to Ajax anyway. This way we actually might be able to finance part of the Suarez deal with the fee for Babel.

Babel's agent (Winnie Haatrecht) says Hoffenheim is "just one option" and isn't ruling out a move to Ajax yet

The fee has been agreed for Babel, but he still needs to agree personal terms with Hoffenheim for it to be a "done deal".

I guess Babel would prefer Ajax. So if they want him as part of the deal, he could still go there.

if they want 21, we should have no problem sealing the deal. Only just over 4million difference between the want and the offer, so they can come to an agreement for just under 20 million. I'd be fine paying 20 for a player of Suarez's status. Thrilled to in fact.
