Apparently, Rodgers has been given the green light to sign Salah for 8 million. Not his biggest fan as I've said but I think he's worth the risk at 8 mill.

Hopefully he'll be given a green light for a midfielder as well.

I don't think we'll sign a midfielder, I don't even think we have been looking for one, Brendan spent last week waxing lyrical about how gerrard can play until he is 40 as a deep lying CM so I reckon Brendan thought we were sorted in midfield with 3 players (Hendo, Lucas and Allen) fighting it out for just the 2 spots in front of gerrard.
Maybe Lucas's injury has changed the landscape somewhat but with only just over a week to go this transfer committee of ours had better get a shift on.

I agree dude and to be honest I'm getting very worried.

There is a definite reason the two yanks came to England and I really hope it was to loosen the purse strings and not tighten them.

If I was Rodgers and given any money I would immediately spend it on a quality DM and LB / RB signing. For some reason I have this un-nerving feeling that we will sign Salah and no one else. Rodgers may once again be promised money for multiple signings but we may end up seeing the same debarcle unfold ala Dempsey, on the last day of this month.

Mark my words if this happens we can kiss 4th and Suarez goodbye while everyone on this forum starts debating who's fault it is again.

Hope I'm completely wrong because I will be so depressed if we miss out on CL.

hopefully things will pick up this week as there isnt long left to go.
rodgers needs to be careful in what he buys as i dont think he can afford to sign too many more duds, as fans we are looking to progress on what was a great start to the league and a genuine tilt at the top 4 and the team has shown that we are capable of achieving just that.
this window has to see proper quality players arrive and not more of the rubbish he has been bringing in thus far.

I think they're hoping they can paper over the lack of managerial quality with a bucket of cash.

Not their type of player IMO. He would be more suited with us. Chelsea are never going to give him to us though, and the owners will never spent such money.

Manc propaganda I suspect to take some heat off Moyes and appease the fans for a few days. Christ a story has
also broken that Dante is on their radar which wont happen. They need positive news so are putting stories out
to halt the tide of negativity.

Alternatively Chelsea's handy work to try and draw a bid from elsewhere as be surprised if they sold to United.

Why would he move without CL football next season?

As for us the word is for De Jong from Milan and Aspas out to Swansea who wanted him initially before
we made a late move.

Probably bollox but I would welcome that dirty b*stard De Jong like, good holding player and we need
that physical presence and aggression in front of the back four. A real protector.

With compatriot Seedorf in pace at Milan now it seems unlikely unless they don't get on like..

there are a number of rumours going around about us signing Valon Berisha from RB Salzburg with Gerard Houlier being the sporting director there its reckoned he would assist us. Does anyone know anything about this guy
