Kelly should be used as backup to Johnson.

He is easily good enough. He can cover all along the back line and is probably already better than sh!tty Luke Young at this age.

Why cant our backroom staff see that

Cant see what anyone has said or done that is that wrong at all Lee.
We have young players that deserve a chance for me rather than getting in an older player who by the looks of things is just going to be cover.

Its one of the most frustrating things in football fo me to be honest.

Bit of a surprise this one and not particulary struck with it. The lad can cover right and left back and is experienced and thats about all you can say about him really. Hes a do a job player and the only thing I would say is that I would be more understanding of this signing if we need to keep money back and spend more in other areas. Last year we paid £17m for Johnson when we needed a centre forward desperately but blew the budget on a full back and ended up left with only one decent striker. Under those circumstances I understand and agree with bringing in a player like Young but time will tell.

Oh right i havent read any posts saying he was sh!t.
Must have missed them.

I have seen plenty saying that if he cant get in villa's team why are we after him.

That's not my problem with this possible transfer.
Mine is the fact that it sends out the wrong message to any younger players.

He is

. Thats fact not opinion.

Loads of my mates support Villa and they all say he is awful and is incredibly slow. An absolute liability.

I would rather we just kept Degen than pay to have him replaced by a player who is not far off his standard

yes.

I personally dont think he is good enough to start and would rather have one of our younger players as back up. I would rather us not sign him, and concentrate our resources somewhere else, or on someone else.

I take it you've never called anyone who's ever played for liverpool shi.te then? I said he was shi.te as I don't think he's a very good player, well not at the moment anyway. Its the same amount of respect as you calling lucas/insua/diao/cheyrou shi.te when they were in a liverpool shirt

I dont know why people seem to think Young is that much better then Degan. To me his no better. His just an ordinary run of the mill player who can be found scattered all over the championship.
