Read somewhere theyd be wanting 22mill for him.. worth every penny if true but think he'd probably cost closer to 25... best rightback in the world imo... better than Alves in terms of final product in the last couple of years despite playing for Inter who dont play the open-attacking style barca do.

Agree that he is the best right back in the world at the moment.

Would love maicon at this club. However we just don’t have the funds for him. We can only afford Johnson because pompey owe us £7m, whether its "owed to us" or not. look at it this way: this summer we have max £10m to spend on a right back, making Johnson affordable if we cancel pomeys debt to us - but £around £10-15m short of what Maicon would cost.

Pipe dream I'm afriad.

As events occur, Villa collapsed yesterday after the training of the Spanish selection Llorente after telling him that any equipment sold to Real Madrid at least. 'El Guaje' está pasando un calvario en la concentración con 'La Roja' ya que el Valencia le está presionando para que acepte la oferta del Chelsea. 'The gauge' is a nightmare happening in the merger with 'The Red' and that Valencia is pushing him to accept the offer from Chelsea.

Despite Florentine Pérez claimed yesterday in the microphones that Villa signing was a matter of time, MARCA reveals today in a Manu Sainz article that the Madrid chairman has decided to stop the transfer move because of the negative reaction that the selling to Real Madrid would cause in Valencia.

The white club insists on they don't want to have yet another Mijatovic case, and only a miracle could unblock the situation.

Villa was devastaded after being told by llorente that he will be sold to any team but Real Madrid. (it's true that yesterday he was all unhappy and didn't smile all the day)

'El Guaje' está pasando un calvario en la concentración con 'La Roja' ya que el Valencia le está presionando para que acepte la oferta del Chelsea. 'The gauge' is a nightmare

The guaje is living a nightmare in South Africa because Valencia are pressing him in order he accepts the Chelsea offer.

More rumours, when I want to know how the Real Madrid moves are going, I read the Barcelona press. And when I want to know how the Barcelona moves are going, I read the Madrid press.

The Barcelona press says Alonso won't go to Real Madrid, because Benitez is asking a too high price.

The Madrid press says that Mascherano won't go to Barcelona because Rafa is asking 52M for him, and Barcelona's offer is too far away from that.

So I think that's pretty right, either they stay, or they go for a ridiculous price. The nightmare for me would be to see them gone for less than 40M.

Valencia have now announced that striker David Villa is not for sale at any price, according to the player’s agent.

The 27-year-old Spain international had been expected to move to Real Madrid or Barcelona this summer, while Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have also been linked.

However, his agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, has now issued a statement saying Valencia are no longer willing to allow him to leave.

“They have changed their mind,” he said.

“Now they say they don’t want to sell him and that he no longer has any price tag.”

I don't understand how they are saying this. Is this a way to get people to pay more? Or have they suddenly come into some money and are no longer in trouble?
