Hopefully, unlike most of us Rafa has already seen him play  :D

All the reports I have read say he's decent, but I somehow think he's going to be more Josemi than Sergio Ramos

He'd be another bargain like roque santa cruz  :D

The lad needs a couple of games in the side to build up his confidence get used to the league , like srtel who suffered a nervous debut but has settled down now

Skrtel is so scary, when he goes surfing, sharks are warned about swimming with HIM!

people knew about roque santa cruz, well at least I did and at the time I had only been following footie for about a year. There is a difference between being run out of Bayern Munich because they went after Luca Toni, Ribery, Klose, and Podolski, and Borussia dortmund not caring enough to resign you.

Is the Robbie keane rumour now dead then lads?   Darn shame if thats the case, he´d fit in very well with the other lad upfront.

if Finnan is included in the deal for Barry, then surely Arbeloa can't be going anywhere, even if we do get offered crazy money. Because if we sell both and only have Degen, Darby, and Carra, if we do try going after a top quality right back I think we could be held for ransom AND if he was foreign, which he would have to be unless it was Micah Richards there would always be the adjustment risk.

It was reported last week that he had supposedly pledged his future to Valencia and wanted to play there for many years.

If true it's a disappointment but then again we had no proof other than through the press we were actually in for him.

I think Silva did the same.  Sad thing is Joaquin and Vicente if added could probably bring something to our current squad that isn't there.

Not saying that we should get them

from tribal football but if this happens

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson could stun bitter rivals Liverpool by making Pako Ayesteran his new assistant manager.

The Telegraph says the former Liverpool coach, now working at Benfica, is in line to succeed Carlos Queiroz once his deal to become Portugal's new coach is closed.

Ferguson is keen to recruit an assistant manager with an established network of continental contacts.

Pako would be a double agent.

He'd be Fergie's friend, but would secretly give Rafa some tips about the Manure players:

- Giggs is actually a shaved gorilla.
- Anderson is one of those "Predator" aliens.
- Nani is Ronaldo's live-in lover.
- Gary Neville is his own father.

...and so forth.

Its a great rumour, it shows how fked up ManUre are.

Queeroz is leaving becuase he´s 55, the clock is ticking and clearly whiskynose is clinging onto power stronger than Fidel Castro did.  There is no succession with whiskynose into his last or second last season - what a farce - after how many years as manager and theres no successor?  Queeroz´s demand to stay should be for whiskynose to retire at the end of the coming season or a 20 million penalty clause.

If they lose Queeroz and Ronalvestite? Everything whiskynose has created will start to pi$$ down the drain during his own lunchtime.

Sounds good to me, he´s gonna fk himself.  :buttrock
